I assume many people who want her to die are talking about her character, not the actress. Given this is the internet, I know the other exists too though.

I just can't imagine being so angry about a TV show that I verbally abuse someone I don't know / will never meet.
The internet really brings out the worst in people
I see you my sister #MosesIngram. You are a brilliant artist an inspiration and a queen of the highest order. I will stand with you and for you in this fight. You are the brightest star in the galaxy. Sending all the love I have. #starwars #famliy #obiwankenobi https://t.co/FpzQFDpT6F

I'd like to hear Ming Na Wen's tales of abuse for daring to be a female POC in #StarWars, since the fanbase is apparently a bunch of racists. https://t.co/aWbiMddbPm pic.twitter.com/dA2Jft9wTS

Seriously. And it's not like Disney/Lucasfilm doesn't have the money to shoot on location. Even Moon Knight shot in the Jordan desert (as did Episode IX, of course). I just can't comprehend the overall bargain basement vibe here. Of all projects.

You may need to adjust your tv if Tatooine looked gray to you.
Looked brown to me, the same color deserts have always been.
Its just hard for us normal people to really understand just how crazy and racist a lot of people are out there.AliasMan02 said:
The thing is, I'm sure the bigots convinced themselves Ewan would somehow agree with them. Delusion and hate go so hand in hand.
Seeing very few anti-Moses Twitter posts and those that exist are getting ratioed to hell. Love to see it.
I dont know who this guy is, maybe hes funny and entertaining, but he doesn't get it at all.YNWA_AG said:I'd like to hear Ming Na Wen's tales of abuse for daring to be a female POC in #StarWars, since the fanbase is apparently a bunch of racists. https://t.co/aWbiMddbPm pic.twitter.com/dA2Jft9wTS

A lot of scenes did look pretty washed out, but I thought it looked appropriate to me.Brian Earl Spilner said:

There needs to be a serious study into Rogue One and why that movie was such a step above everything else since 1983. (Or maybe even 1980 for that matter!)
Was wondering when you would be in here with your thoughts. I have been okay with the show so far, but definitely closer to average than great. FWIW, this is my first live action SW show to watch.
Without looking back in the channel, before you read any reviews, were you expecting this show to be great or did you have tempered expectations?TCTTS said:
Yeah, I'm sorry, but that was bad. Like, really bad.
After a busy holiday weekend, and all the negative reactions, I only just got now around to watching the first episode, and it was somehow even worse than I was expecting.
I mean, it really does look like something that belongs on the SyFy channel. In terms of the cinematography, I still can't believe how bland and dull and TV-ish it all appears. Why all the hand-held, shaky cam crap? Since when has Star Wars ever done that? And why are they seemingly going out of their way to make everything look like a set? Also, why in the hell is Tatooine gray? This should be one of the most cinematic projects Star Wars has ever done - Obi-Wan as Lawrence of Arabia, with rich, golden sand, sprawling, heat-hazed vistas, etc - but instead, this thing just *screams* sound stage in Manhattan Beach, and then they decided to desaturate everything, to really bring out the digital quality of the picture, just to make sure we got the point.
Then of course there's the acting. I love Benny Safdie, but that dude does not belong in something like this - certainly not as a Jedi - and despite being good/entertaining elsewhere, he just straight up can't act in this world. Ooof. Then, yeah, despite everything that's gone down today, I hate to say it, but Moses Ingram is horribly miscast as well. Her version of Reva is just baaad, to the point of almost being cringeworthy. Like, when a semi-famous athlete is cast in an action a movie, and against everyone's better judgment, is given way more to do than otherwise should have been allowed.
Man.
I just can't believe THAT was the pilot for something we've been anticipating for so long; something that should have been a home run and handled with so much more care and reverence. Instead, what we got was a TV director doing her best SyFy impression, with one of the best actors/characters of the entire franchise somehow surrounded by a godawful supporting cast, and hardly anything compelling happening narratively.
That didn't even feel like Star Wars. At best, it came across as something Star Wars-adjascent, and just the slightest bit of an uptick from the prequels. How we're all the way back there again, after 17 years, is beyond me.
I'm sure there are kick-ass moments yet to come, and I'll no doubt be wowed by them in the moment, but good gosh, that was depressing as hell.

How does something get ratio'd on Twitter when there's no dislikes?
Everythign depends on what is said, and how it is said, when it comes to criticims. I thought Jordan's character in Black Panther sucked, and I like him in most things he is in. Maybe he would have been better if they split it into 2 movies and let his character actually develop.Urban Ag said:
So let's all be fair here.
I agree with TCCTS completely in regards to the Reva character. I have nothing against this woman. I had no idea who she was until the last week. But the character was cringy. And when I say cringy I don't mean terrible. More like Anakin/Padme cringy. There is nothing wrong with pointing that out. What is wrong is beta losers who troll social media making it personal or even racist.
But here is my point. Many of you on this board made these same accusations at me and others when we didn't pop champagne corks for Black Panther. And we didn't even make anything remotely personal and absolutely not racist. The film just couldn't keep my interest. And as I noted, I felt the same about several MCU films including Thor 1 and 2 (and Hemsworth is about as close to "my peeps" as you can be), Dr Strange, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and both Iron Man 2 and 3 (and RDJ's "Stark" literally became my favorite franchise character of all time), I just didn't care for those films.
I loved the Tony Stark character 10x more in the Avengers films, Civil War, and Spiderman. Likewise, Black Panther and the whole Wakanda thing was cool AF in Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame.
So I just wish everyone would tap the breaks and chill before making wild ass assumptions. Not being a big fan of Black Panther didn't mean you're an F16 pissed off white guy that can't stand the notion of an African centric MCU film. Likewise, not being impressed with the Reva character.
I'm all for taking out the trash. But too many of you on this board have been teed up to make bull**** accusations and implications towards posters who were critical of the performance of a person of color or a film they were featured in.
Sad really. I am in the generation that made Eddie Murphy, Halle Berry, Will Smith, Denzel, Martin Lawrence, Arsenio, on and on, the very wealthy stars they became. All we cared about was the product and it was good.
I really miss the 80's and 90's. We were on such a better trajectory.

I do find it interesting that of all your complaints, one wasn't the chase scenes, by far the worst part of the show so far imo.
