What's frustrating is out this is how far the spectrum has flipped. In ESB, they needed a slick, gambler, borderline pimp character, so they turn to a good-looking black guy if the day. Unless they would have used Snoop, that may be viewed as offensive today.

Now, they need a bad guy and someone says 'Disney is so woke, they won't make a black woman bad,' and we says 'that's plausible.'

I watched Reva do it on my TV last night in episode 2 of Kenobi. You sure you are watching same show?

She read Haja's mind and got Kenobi and Leias location. Right there in the alley.

Think spilner was saying there is a difference between reading a non-jedi mind vs Vader or Kenobi's, and we have no evidence she did either of those

Yep.

30 minutes into episode 1 and I am ready to pass judgment, this show sucks. This is cheaply produced Star Trek Next Generation bad. Production looks cheap, acting is awful, CGI poorly done.

Woof, Obi Wan Kenobi is a dog.

You over-trolled. You'll have to be more creative next time. Like comparing it to 1980 Battlestar Galactica. Or Buck Rogers.

Did you think Mando looked cheap? It's the same equipment and people doing the effects.

Gonna need you to cite your examples when you say CGI is poorly done, or acting is awful. Otherwise, peace out troll

The acting is pure ***** The Reva character is plain bad, over the top bad.

I already turned this crap fest off.

I enjoyed it. Same criticisms as everybody else.

The chase scene for Leia was awful. You want to show that she's a fighter and kidnappers are morons. That's fine. But that was ridiculous. It appears that the direction was "let's use Home Alone as our guide but make it 10X more unbelievable". I don't understand how scenes like that pass muster and end up in final product.

Rena is just bad acting. How does somebody that delivers lines that stiffly get a job? Getting rid of the Grand Inquisitor this early seems dumb. Having two sets of bad guys chasing Kenobi wouldn't have been the end of the world.

It isn't about what she can sense, it's about shows/movies that write dialogue where kids who look 8 speak like college students with an instant, witty, over the top response. It reminds me of the youngest daughter from 7th Heaven who solved all over her families problems. It's just corny writing.

Watched last night. Got what I wanted out of it, which was Star Wars.

Things I loved:
Obi Wan
Tatooine
Owen Lars
Jawa
Vader in the bacta tank
Leia
Obi Wan's theme music
Alderaan
Order 66

Things I didn't like as much:
Third sister
Cousin interaction
Chase scenes with Leia

I loved all the Order 66 stuff. There was an immediate emotional impact on seeing that from a perspective different than what we've seen in ROTS. And continuing with the callbacks to the prequels, I loved the line Obi Wan says to little Leia, "you remind me of someone". Ewan MacGregor proves why he was the best part of the prequels with his conveyance of emotion toward thinking back to those times.

The interaction between Owen and Obi Wan was nails. It points directly to that early scene in Star Wars when Owen curtly tells Luke, "that wizard's just a crazy old man" or something like that.

Obi Wan's job on Tatooine was an interesting look at daily life on the desert planet that was never really hinted at in any earlier works.

Agree w/ you on everything except I am going to hold my judgement on Third Sister until the end of the series but yea not looking good.

Frankly, everyone wants more of the Order 66 .. heck they can make a series call Order 66 and follow a Jedi trying to survive after the Order is giving.. trying to keep hope alive until it's not.

They actually have. It's just that's in a video game called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Since you're so old, you won't care about that most likely.

What sucks about the third sister character is that the character itself is written really well….we know from Rebels and from Fallen Order these Inquisitors can be wild cards and having one go off the rails to try and get to Obiwan as an obsession is pretty cool especially with trying to kidnap Leia to do it.

Just isn't portrayed well by this actress

How many times have we said this about video games.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
*Order 66 at the temple - perfect
*The rooftop shootout between obi wan and two bounty hunters looked really good
*Joel Edgerton - good performance
*Ewan McGregor - good performance - I was waiting on him to sound completely put out and above it all after using the blaster: "SO uncivilized."
*3rd sister's spoiled brat performance - not so good
*I really like the Korean inquisitor, including the bass on my speakers when he talks
*Every time I see Flea, I wonder how many different types of drugs he's done
*The musical score - meh
*The jawa - I pray he'll be a recurring character. So great.
*CGI of obi wan eating on the rocks was awful. A lot of the effects were surprisingly bad. Looks like a cd-rom game just like AOTC and ROTS.
*6.5/10

The one time the CGI looked out of place and really noticeable, to me, was whenever he was riding on the camel thing. Especially its feet while leaving footprints.

Not a big enough deal, though...personally

Funnily enough didn't notice that but thought the CGI looked weird when he was sitting outside the entrance to his cave. Only thing I noticed.

I did think something looked off about the grand inquisitor costume as well. Looked B grade sci-fi.
