Bruh, I started tearing up. I hadn't realized how emotionally invested I've become with the whole thing until I started seeing the recap and then order 66.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around what is and isn't known about Jedi/the Force amongst the common folk of the galaxy.

Here we are, 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, and Obi-Wan is just learning Vader survived.

Meanwhile, the existence of Jedis and inquisitors hunting them seems common knowledge on Tatooine.

Then ~15 years after this Baby Yoda will use the Force and everyone's like "WHAT IS THIS?????"

Agreed this was greatness. And Ep1 was pretty solid. Then Ep2 started feeling like the chessy kiddo episodes of Mando and Book of Boba Fett. Lot of eye rolling.

Not sure what to make of this so far. Ewan was great but chasing around little sassy pants was lame.

This timeline has always been a problem for Star Wars. How quickly (or not) people forget about Jedi and the force is an issue.

Same, but I'm just glad we didn't have to see those younglings die. That would've hit too close to home for obvious reasons.

you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view of the force.

Another thing I didn't like was the 3rd Sister's knowledge that Vader is Anakin. That was known by like 3-4 people tops. How does she know about it? She only needed to mention Vader for Kenobi to know what it meant. Needless for her to know it

I didn't love it either. I can only imagine that the Order 66 scene at the start was setting up that she sees Anakin in the temple and makes the connection eventually.

Anakin took a buttload of clones with him to the Jedi temple to slaughter the Jedi. He was newly minted as Lord Vader by Palps prior to. He was also evacuated by clones from Mustafar. Seems likely that in the ten years since then, word would spread, and it could become common knowledge within the Imperial military and its agents.

I may be wrong, but isn't there some literature that canonized how little known was Vader's identity/origin? Even within the empire?

I don't think that Anakin would have walked into the 501st mission briefing and said he's name was now Lord Vader prior to razing the Jedi Temple.

Everyone believes Anakin Skywalker is dead (either via Order 66 if they didn't know about his betrayal or if that he was killed by Kenobi).

After Mustafar and the Rise of the Empire, all of a sudden this mysterious Lord Vader shows up in full blacksuit, cape and helmet and nobody knows who is underneath.

Maybe they implying she has a keen, analytical mind. She did make the connection between Obi-Wan and Organa, even though that seems like it would have been something easily figured out.

They could do that by making her attempt more calculated methods to gain Vader's favor. Not by failing to catch Obi-Wan again while stabbing the Grand Inquisitor.

I really enjoyed these first two episodes. Big nostalgia hits for me.

That said, these D+ Star Wars shows need to stop doing prolonged chase sequences. Chases just look bad when they are slow like the Vespa gang and the adults trying to chase Leia.

Yes but the Inquisitors are separate from the normal rank and file Imperial troops.

Given the task to hunt down Jedi and some of them being former Jedi would give them the knowledge of who Vader is. On top of that it seems as though Reva is studying Kenobi closely and is invested in getting some sort of revenge so she might have just figured it out through her research on him.

Genuinely emotional at times during both episodes. That was amazing. Ewan brings it, and the writing and acting of Leia was perfect.

Will go read this thread now to find everyone hating on her, I'm sure.
