what? What exactly made you "hate" her?
Did you hear what she said and how she welcomed her soon to be husband? Scene set up showed it to essentially be unprovoked. An offer to consummate a marriage to her sheep? Then dug in with the king choosing a girl over him, which is arguably one of the biggest family betrayals in Daemon's mind. To top it off, the bike, hate filled tone. A noble and proud dragon riding war hero, arguably the most accomplished in the 7 kingdoms at this point, belittled for simply showing up and doing his duty.
Not sure if you've ever seen the Bill Burr bit on it never hitting a woman, but I was getting fired up watching Daemon be emasculated in front of his soon to be wife.
Was he ever 'smart'? All he did was win a melee and get put on the Kingsguard prior to thisThunder18 said:
Just want to say how stupid they made Ser Criston's character this episode. Thinking he could convince the heir to the Iron Throne to give up her claim and run away with him just because they banged, and then brutally murdering a guest at her wedding celebration in full view of the entire party with no explanation demanded by the King or by Laenor and the Velaryons

I was thinking about this, but let's consider the facts.ramblin_ag02 said:
Do they ever say why Cole wasn't immediatley arrested? He straight up murdered a lord that was a part of the inner circle of the groom. In a room with a hundred witnesses no less. Surprised his boyfriend didn't call for his execution on the spot.
Ya i just assumed it could be easily remedied by saying that Joffrey was "insulting the Princess' virtue" in front of her sworn protector (something we've been told is a grave crime). Plus Corlys likely dgaf that his son's lover got killed as it's a 'hurdle' removed from his son's husbandly duty. The Porkchop Express said:I was thinking about this, but let's consider the facts.ramblin_ag02 said:

1) Cole could easily have said that The Knight of Kisses was spreading false rumors about Princess Rhaenyra (not really false, but false to everyone but Cole, Rhaenyra, and the Queen)
2) In terms of real power among the players there, Laenor has 0 power. He's the king-consort-to-be. That's not *****
3) That guy dying - that's really great news for Laneor's dad, because he wants him to stop being gay and get some heirs to the throne going already. So he's not pissed at all that **** went down. His wife probably was hurt because her son was hurt, but she is smart enough to play dumb.
4) Rhaenyra feels for her cousin/husband, but she can probably guess why Cole went off, and plus he's pretty unhinged, she doesn't need him blabbing.
5) if Corlis isn't too upset about it, Viserys wouldn't be either, just some random dude to him.

What are you talking about? 1) Daemon wasn't her "soon to be husband" they were already married.
2) "Unprovoked"? She quoted to him the insult he said about how the sheep in the Vale are more attractive and styling her as the "bronze *****" to everyone.
3) He pretends to be some noble and brave dragon lord but he really is just an Impotent and jealous man. The fact he can't consummate his marriage (or seemingly any "coupling") is a larger failure of duty than anything Viserys has done.
Ohh now I see; you're one of those "women should keep their mouth shut" people.

Fair points all around. I did not click that he's been married to her for a while. I thought it was new. My perspective was clearly not correct.
I think Kingsguard can get away with pretty much anything. All he's got to say is he had a knife and insulted the princess. That wouldn't even be a lie.M.C. I can't wait to see you guys' reactions when all of the dragons start talking.Brian Earl Spilner said:
And again, would appreciate if book readers didn't throw in discussion points even if we are way off what happens in the book.
Allison seems to have gotten her courage. However, it seems her primary motivation for being angry is Rhaenyra being a skank and lying to her about it rather her dad saying all of her children will be killed once Rhaenrya becomes queenBrian Earl Spilner said:
I mean no non book reader would have gotten the green dress without that dialogue.

Let's be honest, the first Rhaenyra actress looked the part of a family tree with minimal branches. Not unlike Daemon. She did a very good job with the role, but we aren't losing some classic beauty or anything.

I like it. I agree, it hasn't gotten to the level of peak GoT did back in the day. But it's also only 4 episodes in. 4 episodes into GoT wasn't anywhere near peak GoT, either. I will be really curious to see if the time jump is handled well or not.

Its superior to GOT seasons that were after the book material in all of these respects, in my opinion.DallasTeleAg said:
This show has definitely highlighted how fortunate we were to get such an amazing show in GoT, before they caught up to the books.
Everything in this show just feels so different. The characters, dialogue, story, etc in GoT was just at another level. This show is fine, and I can enjoy it, but it isn't even close.
