I actually personally love the birthing noise derail this thread has been on for the over exaggeration of how upset people are being painted as being at the scene and the additional hilarious defense of it by stating we don't know what birthing is like in Westeros.
As someone that has been apart of 100+ deliveries (in reality), it was absurd, and in no way consistent with any sound ever heard during a delivery, period (well i guess unless someone was making balloon animals in the delivery suite). There are plenty of visceral and sometimes disgusting sounds that happen during childbirth, no need to add a rubber balloon noise (seriously…how is anyone defending this?).
In all, it's not really a big deal and I still love this show, but I thought it was hilariously bad and I think it is bizarre that there are so many on this thread passionately defending it. It's okay to admit that a good show has some very minor, nit-picky flaws.

Here is the issue-
Someone notices something absurd or bad about the show
Makes a minor joke or comment on it
Twenty bleeders attack the person relentlessly for 10 pages and never concede the last word
Someone else who notices how bad something was and wonders - why are there 10 pages of bleeders attacking people on this subject?
Bleeders then continue whining for 10 more pages.
Hint; its a discussion forum. People can express opinions without being evil racist obygyn know it all villains, and this show doesnt have to be perfect.

Pathetic. Go back and read the thread. I started one joke. You and others bleated on for twenty pages about it. I got tired of idiocy and let you continue bleating on about it. The thread moved on. Then Others wondered what all the bleating was about, and you started bleating again.
Someone else started one joke about stupid squishing noises. You and others went bleating on about how brilliant it was and how no one should criticize it. I made one total post on the topic. You guys bleated on about it for days.
Now you're still bleating, just about your own bleating.
Its a *******ed discussion forum about a ****ing tv show.
Why dont you go open your own thread, the 'no one can joke or criticize anything on the show thread' and have fun doing whatever it is you do in such an echo chamber.

This thread sucks lately
Agreed. Copying the list of GoT characters someone mentioned below with some context of how we would have felt about them through only 1 season (and we haven't even finished season 1 of HotD). I agree that I'm not as into the characters compared to Tyrion, Robert, etc. in GoT, but some of this may be due to the changes. Once we get through the last time jump, I think we will start getting into characters more. There are also characters that have taken a back seat since the first few episodes that will likely be able to have an expanded role going forward (like Varys and the Hound in Season 2/3 of GoT).HossAg said:I feel like people are forgetting that we've seen only 6 episodes. I don't really see any of the negatives that are being brought up lately.
I'm personally a little disappointed in the time jump this early, as I felt like at least a full season with the original cast would have been better. I think we'll warm up to the new cast pretty quickly, though. I thoroughly enjoy every episode regardless of the time jump.
out of this list, I'd wager that non-book readers were only mainly invested in Tyrion, Dany, Jon, and Arya at the end of season 1.The Dog Lord said:Agreed.
