This last episode I found myself rooting for Aegon. I know he's supposed to be the bad guy but some of the folks in Kings Landing annoy me annoy that I root for him.
Especially since the source material for the show has been discussed numerous times on this threadMW03 said:
Just a fair warning. Don't google anything if you don't know anything.
I've read the 4 books of the Fire and Ice series. I did not realize that GRRM had written anything else in the universe, aside from the Dunk and Egg books that I never really messed with.
I did not know that this new series was based on a book he wrote in 2018 when he should have been working on Winds of Winter.
Anyway, I googled something I thought rather innocuous thinking I was safe because I had read the Fire and Ice books. I was not safe, and now I've been spoiled. Like 3 sentences into what I thought was a safe read since I had already read the other books.
So if you didn't already know, there is source material for this series. Be smarter than me and don't google anything.
And yes, this is on me for not knowing any better.
I agree on the second, but then why do you think he would have it in him to kill his even younger nephew?DallasTeleAg said:
I'm sure Aegon will have a dragon, when they do the time jump.
I'm kind of expecting for Daemon to eventually kill Aegon. I just don't think he has it in him to kill his niece. The show hasn't really convinced me he's a psychopath.
This was bound to happen eventually.javajaws said:
Has there been discussion about what was in the chest (the secret the Dwarves have apparently)? I'm assuming it's Mithril.
Nenya (one of the three rings created by Celebrimbor without Sauron) was supposedly made from Mithril. Also, note that Nenya will eventually be given to Galadriel. The other name for Nenya? The Ring of Water. So maybe a little foreshadowing with her little swim in the ocean...
Yeah, it's on me. If I see black bars, I scroll without even reading the unblocked part as I find I can't help myself. I'm not sure how I missed that there was a whole other book I haven't read.Lonestar_Ag09 said:Especially since the source material for the show has been discussed numerous times on this threadMW03 said:

Because I don't think it's necessarily the bloodline but the actual relationship they had. From episode 1, we are led to believe Rhaenyra and Daemon are actually fairly close.Brian Earl Spilner said:

Though admittedly, I actually have no idea who is involved in the Dance of Dragons, which I love not knowing. Before episode 3 I was sure it would be Daemon vs. Rhaenerya, but now I'm thinking it could possibly be Rhaeneyra vs a teenage Aegon. (Which seems far less likely, but possible.) I have no idea if there will be multiple time jumps happening beyond the big one we know is coming.
I also love the fact that I have zero clue what role Alicent will play in all this, other than throwing all her support behind her kid.

I doubt Daemon spends what equates to an hour around Aegon.

You may as well stay off the thread entirely. A couple of people are flat out posting what is coming next in the book and trying to act like they're postulating.

Probably when he is in the dragon room talking to Sansa or Margery Tyrell? I'd rather no one post what he said without spoiler tags here, please!

He was in the Sept giving Margery a tour, and he referred to her.
Always wanted to give margery a tour myself.AgE2theBONE said:Goose06 said:

So did the crab dude have greyscale? And Daemon was just straight up carrying his torso, so is Daemon going to get greyscale?

They wanted Shireen to still be cute and endearing to the audience so we would all rightfully hate Stanis.

I'm glad they did a legit hardcore adaptation of greyscale for once, even if it was on a throwaway villain of the week. I always thought they kinda cheaped out on Shireen in GoT, it was more grisly in my head.
