Yeah, isn't that weird? He's in WInterfell, then the whole thing with Joffrey/Arya/Sansa takes place on the road at their camp. When they get to KL you don't see him except at the tournament, in his chambers with Cersei, at the one small council meeting when Ned resigns after he wants to kill Dany, and then when he gets gored.Brian Earl Spilner said:

From what I recall, almost as soon as they get to KL, he goes on the boar hunt and gets injured, so we never even see him in the throne room.
Not sure about the book, but IIRC it's always Ned on the throne.
