Plan is for Maverick to launch off a carrier in the Persian Gulf, fly into Iran under the disguise of being one of their own aircraft.
Maverick fakes an emergency landing in Iran ... Iceman hops in the rear seat.
They barely escape Iranian airspace to land safely back on a US carrier.
Some witty lines are said.
Roll credits.

- A new trailer for a Top Gun sequel, which already somehow looks unfathomably awesome.
- A prologue for a new Christopher Nolan movie, in which time travel is involved (and I love time travel in movies)
- The final Star Wars movie of the Skywalker Saga.
This week is basically cinematic heaven, and it begins tomorrow.
Speaking of, Friday night in IMAX I get to see...

You should hold off and watch the trailer in IMAX for the first time.
Also, I am super hyped for Tenet but sadly won't be seeing TROS in IMAX. (Doing RPX)
Made me think, I wonder if I can hold off on seeing ALL trailers for Tenet and go in knowing nothing. I've never done that and it would be kind of incredible to pull that off, especially for a Nolan movie.

A journalist did that for The Force Awakens in 2015. He basically chronicled how he wasn't watching any trailers at all - he wouldn't even look at images - and wanted to go in completely cold. Ironically, though, after seeing the movie, he said he thinks doing so negatively impacted his experience overall (and he liked the movie). For movies as big as these, I genuinely think the anticipation via trailers helps...

Also, they do a fantastic job of making Teller (call sign Rooster is awesome) look like Goose with that mustache and haircut. Could totally believe he was actually Anthony Edwards son.
Looks like there might be another volleyball scene, I hope they have to play against fat Iceman.
