Remember also that h Ryan hacked into Teresa's cell phone account and deleted voicemails and also led the search party on the Avery property to find her
Brendan is still in prison, even though his conviction has been overturned. An appeal of that decision is in progress.Big Al 1992 said:
Did Brendan ever get released or was the state and Kratz fighting it?
Avery hasn't done himself any favors. He's had 2 fiancs while in prison - broke up with both and threatened both. Still, he didn't do this murder.
I guess there is a voicemail that proves she went to another location after she left the Avery yard.Clarke95 said:
THAT was what I was trying to remember. He led them to the car on the Avery lot.
The cops went after Avery from the start because they knew she'd been there that day and that was reason enough to try to get the guy that was suing them for millions.

Former Calumet County District Attorney Ken Kratz, who obtained convictions in 2007 against both Dassey and his uncle, Steven Avery, in the Halbach murder, said the high court ruled properly.

"Ironically, it was his much-criticized first attorney, Len Kachinsky, who seemed to be looking out for his then 16-year-old client's best interest when he negotiated that plea deal," Kratz said.
Quote:
"I have a great deal of sympathy today for Brendan Dassey. His uncle, Steven Avery, made him a murderer his family and attorneys provided the worst possible advice, ensuring that he will now spend nearly the rest of his life in prison. Knowing he could have been walking out of prison in as little as three years from today, had he followed Attorney Kachinsky's original recommendation, I wonder if his 'advisors,' so willing to criticize law enforcement for obtaining his confession, will turn the lens of scrutiny on themselves, and apologize to Brendan for mishandling his case at almost every turn."
