If it breaks $5 later, I'm dumping 1/2 of my position.

I may get out soon. Not as big of a bump as I hoped for and I don't want to be greedy

Thinking the same. 1/2 of my position. Wish it would've hung around that $5 mark.

What the holy ****... approval and stock goes down like this?! Screw this. I'm holding onto it. This sell-off is ridiculous.

Haha I sold at 3.94 because of the drop, bought more already. I'm addicted...

Stop loss hit, watched it dip, then bought back in for a good bit under my original stop-loss price.

Seems to me there was a ton of profit taking after realizing the news was fully baked in (which surprised me, to be honest), so everybody hit the sell button.

Buying at a discount, and I think this rebounds...holding and likely going long with a modest position.

True. I'm operating with very tight stop-losses. Took 25% gain on this most recent stop loss, and with the rebound have had my stop-loss trace that to where it's now in a profit area, too. Definitely playing it as careful as I can.

Hopped back in IMGN a few days ago when it reclaimed it's 50 day MA.

FOLD is starting to come back to life after a sharp sell off last week. Has had some major call action the last 2 days and it's a very illiquid option market. A few analysts at JP Morgan said it is their top long term pick in the small to Mid size biotechs. Still holding.
IMGN went nuts today on a partnership deal with JAZZ. about 4x average volume.

Here's a link for people who follow fundamentals (I only follow price):
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/immunogen-jazz-enter-global-collaboration-141044234.html

FOLD is once again approaching $14. Over that and we could see it test ATH. Still has a 20% short float.

Nice my buddy just bought some Jan 2018 FOLD $15 calls. Could be a nice payday for him.

I haven't posted much lately but here's an update from my earlier positions:

1. I bought into AXSM at $5.7 Averaged down at 5.6 and then sold at $6. I then bought back at $5.9 and since then it has free fallen all the way to $4.70. I broke one of my trading rules and did not cut the loss at max 5%, so now I'm stuck holding a loser. Silver lining is they still have 3 readouts before yearend.

2. Bought into ATHX at $1.68 2 weeks ago based strictly on chart. It has dipped down to the 50 day ($1.62) and bounced nicely. Today reached intra day high of $1.77 before closing back to $1.70 on 2X avg daily volume. $1.75 is a big resistance area on the chart, so I'm looking for it to break through in the short term and make a move for $2.

Did the same thing with VRX recently. Very frustrating. Most of the time I am good about it. But it's those few times that can really add up and hurt the P/L.

All,

In my first post, I discussed $PLX, which is one of my long holds with little money involved. Full Disclosure: I have a rather high average (around $.90) in PLX and believe that it is at a great price here in the low .5's. The recent price action makes me believe that we have reached the bottom (absorption volume buying). They currently have funding through 2019 and are beginning to sell one of their successful products, which should help bring in added revenue.

PLX is developing drugs to assist with CF and has two potential catalysts upcoming:

- Phase 2 results from clinical trials for OPRX-106 for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. (Due second half of 2017)

- Potential Recognition from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) and/or a CFF developmental grant.

Warning: this stock is on Adam feursteins naughty list and he has used his influence, along with his political science degree to kill this stock.

Portfolio update

$AUPH -- Not too much will be going on here until new indications are supposed to be presented sometime this fall. Up 5% today with rest of bio

$MRNS -- Marinus Pharmaceuticals, engages in the development of neuropsychiatric therapeutics. Has run from $1.25 to close of $3.06 today. Got in around $2.65. Data upcoming in a couple of weeks on their orphan drug ganaxolone.

$PIRS -- develop an Anticalin class of biotherapeutics. They are antibody mimics, but with better tissue penetration, more stable, and can be produced on a larger scale. One of my long-term favorites because you can easily see how the technology will be attractive for a bigger company to gobble up in time.

$PRTK -- novel antibiotics. Recently had Ph III data that met all endpoints. Also talk of a buyout. My guess is this company gets bought out by the end of October for $40 - 50 per share. Still time to get in at under $30.

$SGMO -- This one is my baby and largest position. They have zinc-finger nucleases which allow for gene editing. Zinc fingers were all the rage before CRISPR entered into the bio picture. So why invest in SGMO? Their technology is way ahead of CRISPR right now, and moving into big arenas, specifically oncology (Car-T) and neurology (alzheimer's). Has moved from $8 to $13 recently. Think it will cool off to $12 for a bit after it touches $14. When they announce Car-T partnerships, this could push easily to $18 or $20. This stock will be the biggest gainer in the entire market for 2017.

$TGTX -- novel treatments for B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases by depleting these cells from the body. Had incredible Ph II data earlier in the year and will have more data released in other areas by years end or into early 2018. Some people (AF) don't like the CEO, but the data are too good here.

$ZIOP -- another cancer bio with a large portfolio. The highlight here is their Car-T platform -- they have technology that could greatly reduce the turnaround time of the procedure. Could be a takeover content, especially for someone like Gilead that just bought Kite to pair together. Kite just sold for $180 a share, 12 billion market cap. ZIOP is sitting at $6 and only a $800 million market cap right now.

Next two best I want in on but haven't pulled the trigger yet -- $FGEN and $DVAX

Holy Hell!!! I just read a few of the rumors!! $15-19/share! Something ain't passing the sniff test to me here, but I'll ride it. More than doubled my position. Cost averaged in at $3.72 currently with a stop loss at $3.80.

Big jump this morning in $MRNS today on data release! Sold at $5. The company is burning a lot of cash and my guess is we hear about an offering after hours today.

$FGEN data tomorrow. Could jump to $53-56. Currently sitting at $49. Has run up from $41 in recent weeks.

Ranger 22: RGLS is up to 1.21 right now. You still thinking it can push towards 2? I'm reading that it might go in a bit of a run but I'm not so sure it'll hit that high.

Good day for it though.

Does anyone know much about PLSE?

It has been on a killer dive lately, seems like an overreaction to a "Withdrawal and Planned Resubmission of 510(k) Application for the PulseTxTM System".

Robert Duggan is in deep, Yahoo says he has 3,387,694, and his average is AT LEAST above 20$.

It might see some short term resistance at the top of the gap ~1.35. Overall I'd hold since there are a lot of catalysts upcoming in the 4th quarter, but trim the position and take gains along the way

Here is a look at what I mentioned earlier about upcoming catalysts for $RGLS

My guess is we see a run-up quickly to ~$2.00, and eventually to around the $2.5-$3.0 area before data release. I'd probably sell before then because binary events could set back all of your gains, but will be fun to watch. The long-term price target is $7.00.

You'll just have to be ok with the volatility in these small bio stocks -- today's range in price has been 15%. It ran all the way to $1.44 before pulling back to $1.25ish

I'll preface this by saying I don't know squat about picking individual stocks, and have been reading through this section of Texags just out of curiosity.

I do know medicine, however, and I'm leery of their gross annual projections for US sales.
Alport Syndrome isn't common. 1/ 50k people have alport, which means about 8k people total in the U.S. 850M in sales, means that, if every single Alport syndrome patient is on it, it's a 100k per year medication - per patient.

There aren't many medications out there that insurance companies will reimburse that amount of cash for. And this is if it really pans out, given that it's only in the first two phases of trials. There are still much larger studies to go to determine efficacy.

Polycystic kidney disease is more prevalent, and if their drug can halt the progression of that disease and prevent or delay the need for renal transplantation, that would be huge. But they have a long way to go to prove that one.

I realize you're not looking at long term hold potential, but thought I'd add what little I know to the conversation.

I feel like we are about to enter one of the greatest renaissances of all time in medicine. While we still won't be curing diseases, we will be treating all sorts of diseases. I'm already seeing it with the new autoimmune disease treatments and the non-chemo cancer treatments.

I also believe that there are more medications moving into phase 3 so we may catch a break from some of the smaller companies that have been doing all the work and if lucky be picked up by a bigger corporations . Check out RTRR and AUPH

I don't doubt your takes. A lot of these types of projections like I posted have to be taken with a grain of salt -- especially this one since they are talking about revenues in 2024 and 2027....10 years out! The landscape -- both in available treatments as well as healthcare -- could be much, much different in 10 years. It is interesting to note that one that that makes this particular company attractive, even for a long-term hold, is that Celgene is already heavily invested. If any of those indications, especially polysystic kidney disease, look to be making serious headway, it should be an easy M&A for Celgene to take over, develop, market and sell.

queso I completely agree. I think Car-T and gene therapy are some of the best science out there. Gilead just paid out almost $12 billion for Kite Pharma and their Car-T therapies. You still have other companies in this space like JUNO, BLCM and ZIOP which are undervalued. BLCM has almost doubled in recent days as many are finding their pipelined undervalued since the KITE M&A. Then you have ONCE that have their FDA decision soon, and my baby SGMO with loads of potential down the road as well. I love learning about these companies and their science.

My favorite is OBMP.

Have been investing in it for the past couple of years. Company has been researching and developing a prostate cancer vaccine for almost 20 years. Phase 1 study just got released, and showed outstanding results and phase 2/3 study with Harvard should be approved in the next few weeks. Have also bought a portfolio of other drugs to create revenue to fund both a current Mexico study and the Harvard study. As always, do you own DD but I am continuing to buy as many shares as I possibly can as 2018 has signs of being a VERY big year for the company.

This is OBMP trading current at .09/share, correct?

If so, the price point seems to good to be true, given your prospectus. I'm certainly not calling you out as wrong or anything, just saying, the potential cross-section of volume and price growth you're suggesting could be astronomical. Are there currently vaccines for any form of cancer on the market? I'll certainly be doing some DD here, but man, thanks for the lead for sure. Open to any other thoughts you may have, and thanks again for sharing!
