FOLD is starting to move. +8% today and +25% since May 9 earnings.

Also, outlay of $450,000 was spent on Sept $10 calls today. $1 per contract.

I added more at $7.70 towards end of last week.

FOLD continuing to work higher with +7% today and approaching 52 week high on no news that I saw. These options need > 11 to payoff. Hoping that person knows something. I'm holding until the trend starts to turn.

Both the $XBI and $IBB are showing breakouts this week. Money is starting to flow back into this sector. Would be a good time to get into some Biotech names. Also there are a lot of potential M&As upcoming in the second half of 2017.

A couple of my favorite names right now --

Celgene -- $CELG

Bluebird Bio -- $BLUE

Our old favorite $SGMO is also showing a multi-day breakout, could test $9.2 resistance soon if you're looking to make a quick $1 per share

$SGMO offering after the bell...tough

2 recent trades I made:
I bought $AXSM yesterday morning at the bell based on purely on tech analysis and got lucky. It ripped 23% over the last two days, so I decided to go ahead and take the quick gains. They have multiple drugs with phase 3 trials and data readouts expected this quarter, so should be pretty good R/R. They completed an offering in March, so I imagine they should have enough cash to finish the trials (have not looked into their burn rate).

I bought $GNCA this morning as it tested the 200 MA this morning and held. Stop loss set just below the 200 day.

SGMO rebounded yesterday after the announced offering and just hit my $9.20 target. You could have gotten a $2 swing if you were able to buy in yesterday at open. One firm just released a $17 price target this morning. Wells Fargo has had a $20 price target on it.

From what I could tell with AUPH, everything was solid. The CEO announced new data will be released at some point this fall for use of volcosporin in other conditions (new potential partnerships for that), they have 18 U.S. cites open for enrollment in their phase III trial and 4 additional outside the U.S. Phase III should be completed by late 2019. These were all positives. The big take away is that this is a stock for tomorrow, not in a year unless a M&A occurs. Buy it today, put it away and come back for the $$$ in 2019 or 2020.

One play for next week to watch for -- $HALO. The FDA will announce their decision on a drug they developed on Monday the 26th. All indications look like they should get positive news and a good pop in price from the news.

Quote:

Halozyme has invented what it calls recombinant human hyaluronidase (rHuPH20), which is an enzyme that allows for the quick delivery of an otherwise intravenous active ingredient by way of injection under the skin. It's this enzyme that Roche has licensed from the company and combined with Rituxan to create this alternative delivery method. The efficacy of the drug is the same or similar, as is the tolerability profile. What's different, however, is the administration time. The drug takes between 5 and 7 minutes to administer, wiping close to 98% off the time a patient has to spend under-dose. That's a massive difference for patients that need weekly or more dosing, and if the drug is approved, chances are we'll see it pick up a large portion of the IV market, very quickly. And we're not guessing here it's already approved in Europe (where it's called MabThera) where it's most commonly administered subcutaneously.

So, we're obviously looking for an FDA green light for the drug when the agency reports its decision, but what are the chances of us seeing one?

Very good.

The data that supports the application is strong and thorough. The drug's already approved and widely used in Europe. The active compound is already regarded as safe and effective in the US. A panel validated the asset as part of an advisory meeting earlier this year, at which physicians and oncology experts voted unanimously (11-0) in favor of the FDA approving the drug. Things look good and we'd be surprised if the decision didn't go Halozyme's way come June 26. Of course, there's always room for a surprise this is the biotechnology space but from a risk limitation perspective, this one's about as good as you're going to get.

Note that the action date is June 26, but there's a chance we might see a decision hit press earlier, hence our highlighting of this one now.

AVEO

Pharma company that had the FDA deny their application because they changed patients Between groups. Their drug (which was showing success) is a cancer drug that was extending mortality rates in trials and was showing upside. May be a while though as they have I think one trial in phase three and others in beginning stages. They have also entered into a couple of licensing deals recently.

I really don't know if this is a huge potential as they were once trading around $20 (at 75 cents now) or if it is just a poorly run company.

I have made about 6 grand on it playing on bumps, so I'm using my gains, but I'm way down right now as my cost basis is approx $1.25

I wonder if it can hold with this news. Usually it gets these big spikes and drops. That's how I've made my $$ on it though

bluebird Bio ($BLUE) released some data today about a gene therapy phase III trail regarding sickle cell....both positive and negative news. I think long term it is a positive, but I would not play this name right now. Think we might see a decline here which would be a entry point.

Quote:

The field of gene therapy is making significant strides towards the day when a one-time treatment inserting a healthy gene into patients could cure a host of inherited, often fatal diseases. But it's been a rocky road. And new clinical data presented this morning by Bluebird Bio make clear that success is far from guaranteed. Bluebird is testing a gene therapy for two inherited blood disorders and the data managed both to impress and to leave important questions unanswered.

On the impressive side: A patient with the inherited blood disease beta-thalassemia, which causes severe anemia, was able to stop regular blood transfusions one month after treatment and achieved a normal level of hemoglobin in six months, according to interim data from an ongoing phase 3 clinical trial. The positive outcome for this patient suggests, but does not yet prove, that manufacturing changes made by Bluebird last year to improve the efficacy of its investigational therapy, Lentiglobin, are having the desired effect.

Other data released Friday, however, raised concerns. Among the red flags: A second patient treated in the trial showed a lower-than-expected response in a biomarker for healthy hemoglobin production. Investors are likely to eye that data point with concern, though that patient has not been followed long enough to chart clinical changes in hemoglobin levels or blood transfusions. There are no clinical results yet for a third patient, either.

Wish that was me, but I'm not trading options yet. I was just pointing out a monster options trade since a lot of times the options market moves before the equity markets, looks like that is what happened here.

My two BioTech equities FOLD & IMGN had monster weeks though. Good luck to everyone this week. Let the breakouts continue!

Have you looked into it at all? If so, what are your thoughts? Looks like they could (and should) get approval for their product in 2 months or less. If so I would expect another big jump as it will trigger a $4M milestone payment to them and get them on the road to another $12M in payments.

They could be an acquisition target.

I am heavily involved and holding and buying more as we speak. Getting the passing in the EU will likely make them a buyout target. That's what I think at least.

not exactly a bio but RAD has news of merger most likely being approved by FTC this week (estimated stock price minimum of 6.40) , no one really knows though, rumors have been made on both sides of the coin.

SGYP loos like an interesting stock, i have seen a lot of promising articles about this company. I am looking at buying some soon.

When did you first buy? I've been in for about 3 years now buying and selling. I'm definitely going to buy more I just don't know when... I don't want to miss the boat, but if it does what it always does the past three years the price bumps then slowly trickles down until another bump.. do you have a strategy right now? Dollar cost average until approval decision?

My last purchase was a few days ago at .795

SOME INFO ON IT
Market Cap $66 Million /Cash till 2021+ EXCLUDING upfront payments from upcoming partner deals (taladafil partner deal should garner a hefty upfront payment)
Burn-rate $500-700k a Quarter
Should be Profitable next year
US approval of Rizaport ,Tadalafil and Suboxone film expected in 1H 2018
And another 8 Drugs in pipeline

Tadalafil is a thin film strip version (like a listerine dissolvable strip) of Cialis/Viagra.....works way faster than the pill and IGXT already has a exclusivity deal in place with ELI LILLY...they are reviewing term sheets for partner deal now....partnership deal and filing of the NDA should be done in next 1-3 months. The lilly license deal also guarantees this will be first to mkt for 2-3 yrs before any other generic versions hit the mkt.

IGXT had 5,600,000 warrants outstanding at 3/31/17 @ .56 or $3,144,000 cash value. Over 1,000,000 were exercised in 2016. Over 500,000 exercised in 1st qtr. 2017.

IGXT hasn't executed on the $7M ($4.9 U.S.) convertible bond issue. So cash is not a concern. Upfront cash from Tadalafil may cover cash needs along with the converted warrants going forward until income from commercialization next year.
