The Lopez brothers (and identical twins in general) are fascinating. They have identical genetic makeup, were raised by the same parents, and played for the same high school and college, but they couldn't be any more different as players. It goes to show how very tiny forks in the road in your development can have a long-lasting impact on the rest of your life.

It made sense to tank and get luka, but now we need to show him (and Porzingis) that we're dedicated to winning.

This team isnt going to tank (on purpose)...if it happens it will be organic. Mavs have a way better chance to make the playoffs than get a top 5 lottery pick

This team wants to win and compete. They don't want to lose games on purpose like some crappy eastern conference low life squad.

Hard to say. Dirk hasn't been playing in back-to-backs all year until the Pistons game a week or so ago, but that was literally right after we traded everyone and Luka was hurt. So I'm not sure he had a choice to sit in that game.

If I had to guess, I'd say he does. Just a gut feeling because he's been playing a littler better and looser lately.

Exactly. Watching yesterday's game was fun.

I don't think the Mavs will make the playoffs. I don't think the Mavs will (or even can) tank. Normally, that is the absolute worst spot to be in as an NBA team. But that was the price to pay in order to acquire Doncic and Porzingas in an 8 month span. It was worth it. In the meantime, people should just enjoy the competition. Next year is going to be even better.

Dirk is going to need to pick it up a little to pass Wilt. Needs about 5 ppg the rest of the way.

Hardaway is going to find himself on the bench if he keeps jacking up contested threes so early in the shot clock.
