Still not thrilled with the number of chances Everton created and the fact they controlled large amounts of that game. But that was a modest step in the right direction in a tricky fixture even if it was far from perfect.

Onana currently has the league's best save % and is tied for the most clean sheets. Is 3rd in PSxG (tied with Allison).
Not bad for a goalie who was already written off after a month. I bet we'll still see some "WTF" moments from him. That has been a thing with him for a while now. But he's settled in nicely after some high profile errors. He's had some very strong games including well above average saves. His passing and calmness on the ball continue to be huge assets.

He has definitely settled in, he still makes me nervous with some of his decision making. But no keeper should be judged off of one or two mistakes when they are just starting with a new club….unless they are American of course.
Well, bear in mind, the clean sheets were Everton, Luton, Fulham, Burnley, and Wolves. I think the only true bottom feeder left in the first half of the schedule is Bournemouth. To a degree, this is partially due to a very favorable early schedule.

Well that's the thing, we let two of their players stand in the middle of the wall uncovered and then are surprised when they immediately move out of the way. It's basically like not having a wall. Onana should have done better, but that should be a permanent training video on how not to build a wall…

Technically, TECHNICALLY, I only complimented him on EPL clean sheets.
He is always prone to a "WTF" moment. You hope they are few enough that the good outweighs the bad. Hope is a fragile thing though…
