So what is the standard frequency/cadence that the NHC put out updates after the model runs?

Of course FBISD has early dismissal today. Always dramatic. Hopefully Katy goes a full day.

Have you seen Houstonians drive when it rains a little? Nobody wants to be on the roads in the slop thats coming during rush hour.
Nicholas is doing the hokey pokey just southeast of Brownsville early this morning… little net motion. pic.twitter.com/12kePagLrW

Looks like after last night's center reformation, #Nicholas is just offshore, and strangely drifting eastward. The nascent inner core fear seems to have collapsed, perhaps due to an outflow boundary or some shear. Easy to see where dry continental air is trying to wrap in pic.twitter.com/rZ8jV9mUqq

Our next post, later this morning, will dig more deeply into timing of the worst effects for the Houston region. Due to the storm's motion, I now think Houston will be most under the gun from this evening through Tuesday afternoon. But I want to see a little more model data.

There’s pretty clear vortex tilting ongoing with #Nicholas right now, evident on KBRO radar. The LLC is on the western edge of the convection, where the MLC has been located. The LLC is now drifting east, indicating there may be some correction in the tilt or the LLC is weakening pic.twitter.com/mrRCknwBWO

#Nicholas continues to do the unexpected currently heading east after its small loop this morning south of the Rio Grande. Center also hard to find. My 👀 are on that mid-level center northeast of current center. Something to watch, but unlikely to change overall threats. pic.twitter.com/y8mixDCUpC

1ST VSBL OF THE DAY #NICHOLAS....LOOKS LIKE THE MID IS DISPLACED WELL TO TH ENE OF THE SURFACE...IT'S EITHER THAT OR IT'S A NEW CENTER RELOCATION...NOT SAYING IT'S OCCURRING BUT WATCH THE LOOPS YOURSELF... pic.twitter.com/hgJXTdlqjm
