A circus implies publicity without competence. I don't think Deion really qualifies with respect to the latter. He's had success everywhere he's coached to date and more than doubled a P4 programs win total from his first to second season there. He's made very good coordinator hires at the college level. And he has a history of pushing Jerry around in negotiations and in the media that could serve him well as a coach here. Say what you want about him but he'll tell anyone to **** off that he needs to.
He certainly wouldn't be my first choice but this idea that it would be an absurd hire that has no chance of working and that no other franchise would ever consider is "everything Jerry does is bad no matter what" agenda driven hyperbole. On his current trajectory he'll be coaching in the NFL or at a historical college power somewhere within 5 years if Dallas doesn't hire him.
