Agreed. I had the game on in the background while I was processing a couple of deer and I started off mildly rooting for the draft positioning but the old Redskin rivalry and just seeing the players out there giving high effort and caring had me paying full attention and rooting for the W by Q4.
People talk about wanting to tank, or wanting to just suck for 3-5 years so we can get a lot of draft picks.
Having your season essentially be over by the 1/3 mark is awful, and makes you not even want to watch the game on Sunday or even really any NFL games.

It's pretty easy to become a closet lions fan through this process. Similar color scheme, city starts with a D, have only been to 1 NFC championship game in the last 30 years…plus their coach is an Ag!

Why does the NFL schedule such bad opponents for the Lions and Cowboys for Thanksgiving? In other words, why not schedule a playoff team from last year for example? Seems every year it's a snoozer.

I said it somewhat nicely the other day when we were talking about possible 1st round picks and Shemar & Scourton come up as guys projected to go in the 1st round.
Now l'll say it rudely... Don't want any part of either in the 1st round. If the announcers weren't constantly talking them up I'd have no idea they were considered "great" players. They disappeared for most of the year.

They are 3rd-5th round type guys but they will probably do better on a team that gets holding calls.

Shemar Stewart has all the ability you could ever ask for or want, but he has just never produced. Maybe his work ethic isn't what it needs to be, idk. I have no clue what to think about Scourton except that he really under produced this year on all fronts. Truly baffling stuff.

You get a great QB. When you pay him big money, he loses his weapons, maintain a good OLine, and build a defense.
If we don't have a great QB then tear it down and start over bc we are paying him like he is.
Bengals are going thru the same thing but they got a real great QB and weapons and they can't win. They need defense and Chase with a good OLine and then you put the keys in the QB hands to go win.

I'm looking forward to watching Bass and Hoffman the rest of the season. They have been pretty good so far.
