I get the frustration, but in the McCarthy era, I'd say they lost 1 playoff game where they had a better roster. Hitting the reset button on the one piece of leadership that has actually been ok while it's surrounded by dysfunction only lets the dysfunction win out. It lets the players know the head coach doesn't mean **** , so why be accountable to the next one. That dude had lost the room before it begins.
I think their best chance of overcoming the Jones family is building a culture within the actual locker room that blocks out all else, and I think McCarthy is a resilient old school guy that has made progress there, all things considered. Jerry does his best to undermine it, but I actually see McCarthy fighting the good fight.
