Why in the world did they not bring back Gilmore.. That corner trip with Bland in the slot would be lethal, and it protects against injury like we have now.
It wouldn't matter, unless you got rid of all the other chokers on the team and started over.Agristotle said:
Dallas pays their good players like they are great. They missed their window the last couple of years when they were close in large part because Dak gags when the big money is in the pot.
He is not worth that contract but I understand Jerry is too old to move on. For a legendary "deal-maker", Jerry got absolutely destroyed on Dak's last TWO contracts! Dak got everything, Jerry got nothing. He should have offered Dak a contract with a hometown discount built into it and if that wasn't good enough, let Dak take his Choke show somewhere else.

Worst running game. One of the worst in pass blocking. One of the worst in getting separation.
Dak is solid but is not a guy that will carry a team, but with this roster, I don't think a guy that can carry it exists. The only mistakes they made with his contracts has been not getting them done earlier.

How the hell are they 3-3 !? This league is crazy

I would hope the cowboys have zero interest in chubb. There are many better options at the RB position.

"We like our guys" jerry jr
I can see them picking a running back in the first round and everyone going ape **** because good backs can be taken in later rounds. Rinse wash repeat with this team

Jeanty is great but the track record of taking running backs in the first is pretty clear....now Bijan and Gibbs could very well end up worth the draft capital but historically it just isn't worth it.

I'm not opposed to adding more weapons on offense in a vacuum. We absolutely need to get better around Dak and Ceedee, however, the defense is still a dumpster fire inside of a train wreck. I'd spend almost all early draft capital on defensive lineman until it's figured out.

Jeanty could be a top 5 pick. Maybe Dallas trades up?
As far as picking up any players this year, I dont understand why. This team is going nowhere.
LF over Chubb right now is a ridiculous take.Peter Klaven said:
I'm a fan of Khalil Herbert and Miles Sanders could be a better option as well. There's also free agents I would take over chubb, such as Leonard Fournette.
Are you saying "better options" as in they have more favorable contracts?Peter Klaven said:

Thank you. I felt like I was taking crazy pills when someone was touting Herbert, Sanders, and retired Fournette over Chubb.Woods Ag said:Are you saying "better options" as in they have more favorable contracts?Peter Klaven said:

because under no circumstances is any of the listed RBs in the same stratosphere as Nick Chubb when he's healthy.
Here's the sticking point. That was a gruesome injury that was just 13 months ago. It would be an aberration if he was anywhere near his old self this season. He's a freak, so it's possible he regains his old form next season, but it's also possible, if not likely, that he's never the same player.Woods Ag said:Are you saying "better options" as in they have more favorable contracts?Peter Klaven said:

And none of them are worth giving up draft capital for.Woods Ag said:
He's a freak the level that few in the NFL are. On a better team he'd be in the conversation of greatest in this generation if he isnt already.
A hobbled Chubb is better than Myles Sanders or any of the others.
