If Dallas was gonna draft a QB, he's the one I wanted. Either him or let Maye sit behind Dak for a year or two

They've been teased like this three times before during that stretch, and every time hope failed then. We'll see how it goes this time.

Mccarthy's play design is abysmal

It's almost like they're not even running plays.

We all thought the same thing when RG3 was their QB and how did that work out?

Same problem they had last year. WRs breaking at the same time and no horizontal movement. Brady was talking about it during the broadcast too

It's too early to tell. Kliff can shock and awe people as a play caller, with a dynamic QB.

It takes 1 DC to shut them down and then every DC after that will follow the blueprint and Kliff will have counter and Daniel's will have to grow.

Only time will tell, but he looks great.

Same with Sam Darnold. I have no allegiance to him or reason to root for him but I like when guys that have been counted out have success.

Dan Snyder didn't magically make all their QBs that initially looked good start sucking

Holy cow... I watched that before reading the comments... I was thinking it was a "Dak was very poor" film analysis. But as I'm watching it I'm thinking... geez, Dak is completing passes when NOBODY was really even open.

And as I kept watching I'm seeing a bunch of similar routes bringing all the defenders into the same zones. There is nowhere to go with the ball.

Yeah... these particular plays are terribly designed.

Not magically, but he fostered an environment of dysfuction and suck and that is contagious

Kliff certainly worries me but it's just too early. As for Darnold, I'm happy for him. It does drive me nuts how quickly people give up on players so fast in all sports. Some situations you just can't win in.

I get people want to draw the correlation with our situation, but the idea that the mere existence of Dan Snyder made Robert Griffin's knee explode and then forget how to read defenses remains superstitious nonsense no matter how many times it gets said.

Its easy to blame Dak or receivers for not getting open, but at the end of the day McCarthy should be getting the heat because this offense is terrible. Other offenses manage to scheme open less talented WRs than we have, but NFL Jimbo's offense was outdated in GB. That's why him and Rogers had a not so cordial breakup

Yeah I think of that play that the Ravens threw to Flowers to basically ice the game. Diggs had to navigate some traffic. You see in every other game that defenders are running through traffic to chase receivers. On an important play, the Eagles had two Saints defenders collide to get Goedert wide open for a big gain that helped win it. Have we done anything like that all year?

Not here to say McCarthy needs to stay in any way. I think we need to hit the head coach hiring circuit before next year. The last 2 weeks have been pretty abysmal, but we weren't having these problems when he kicked kellen to the curb last year. I think this is a front running team, and that is the culture from jerruh on down. And that is exactly why we can't make deep playoff runs. You have to gut out tough wins against good teams a few weeks in a row

When your head coach is neutered from day 1 and can't make even basic decisions without the boss around, then it's gonna be pretty hard for ANYONE to walk into that locker room and turn it around

That was 7 plays? Passing judgement on those cherry picked plays is curating a narrative.

The first 2 had a guy open on the hitch that he didn't hit. He had a guy open on the TE corner route that he did hit. He had a guy crossing the middle that he passed up and hit the dude in the end zone. The others were covered up pretty well.

I'd have to see the whole games work of pass plays to pass judgement and I was t able to do that on Sunday.

I'm not blaming Dak. He made some awesome throws in that clip.

Just saying you can paint whatever narrative you want by collecting a handful of plays on video. He threw 51 times and that was 7 of the attempts. We have no other context from that video.

As you like to point out trends during Dak's tenure, the same is true for Mccarthy's. If you look at last year's offense you'll see the same things

I didn't draw any correlation to "our situation". Just pointed out Washington may finally be leaving the wilderness. Part of that is Daniels. Part of that is Snyder. They didn't suck for 25 years by just bad luck and magic either.

Yeah.

I'm torn with McCarthy tbh. He was adamant about wanting to run the football to set Dak up for success and JJ has given him literal **** to work with for running consistently.

I thought it was time for him to go in GB. His offense was dead and I hated the hire by Dallas. He said he pitched JJ on spending a year innovating and then in the opening PC he joked something about saying what he needed to to get the job. I don't remember exactly. Since then, I don't think he's been terrible. I think Dak was much better under him to this point but then he ****s the bed every time our team gets punched in the stomach. As does the whole team. Maybe it's not Dak. Maybe Dak is a symptom of the culture of JJ. Idk

Last year, I forget the game, but we were battling and the defense couldn't stop **** and I posted on here, if Dak can lead this team down the field and score the defense will respond and I believe they picked the ball off after a Dak TD and it was glorious. I thought it was REAL growth that maybe we were turning the corner and gaining some grit but appears to just have been a blip. I want that sob to do well. Truly I do.

I'll say this as it's apparent. You are a Dak Apologist (right or wrong) and I'm a Dak hater (right or wrong).

We can't be friends with regards to the cowboys.. outside of that I'm sure you're a fine person
