They've been teased like this three times before during that stretch, and every time hope failed then. We'll see how it goes this time.DannyDuberstein said:

Bad playcalling or bad quarterbacking? Let's play the 2.3-second game and see what Dak had available. Did he make good decisions with the football? pic.twitter.com/ADD2H6gell

Mccarthy's play design is abysmal
He has looked incredible. I am curious about him taking all these big hits though.wspagg said:

Same problem they had last year. WRs breaking at the same time and no horizontal movement. Brady was talking about it during the broadcast tooYellerjacket said:It's almost like they're not even running plays.FightinFarrier18 said:Bad playcalling or bad quarterbacking? Yeah, but 2 words - Dan Snyder

Dan Snyder didn't magically make all their QBs that initially looked good start sucking

Not magically, but he fostered an environment of dysfuction and suck and that is contagious
That offense looks exactly like Jimbo's offense after 2020jr15aggie said:FightinFarrier18 said:Same problem they had last year. WRs breaking at the same time and no horizontal movement. Holy cow... I watched that before reading the comments... I was thinking it was a "Dak was very poor" film analysis. But as I'm watching it I'm thinking... geez, Dak is completing passes when NOBODY was really even open.
And as I kept watching I'm seeing a bunch of similar routes bringing all the defenders into the same zones. There is nowhere to go with the ball.
Yeah... these particular plays are terribly designed.
Its easy to blame Dak or receivers for not getting open, but at the end of the day McCarthy should be getting the heat because this offense is terrible. Other offenses manage to scheme open less talented WRs than we have, but NFL Jimbo's offense was outdated in GB. That's why him and Rogers had a not so cordial breakupjr15aggie said:FightinFarrier18 said:Same problem they had last year. WRs breaking at the same time and no horizontal movement. Yeah I think of that play that the Ravens threw to Flowers to basically ice the game. Diggs had to navigate some traffic. You see in every other game that defenders are running through traffic to chase receivers. On an important play, the Eagles had two Saints defenders collide to get Goedert wide open for a big gain that helped win it. Have we done anything like that all year?FightinFarrier18 said:Its easy to blame Dak or receivers for not getting open, but at the end of the day McCarthy should be getting the heat because this offense is terrible. Your constant need to blame Dak is blinding you to the fact that these are objectively awful play designs.Woods Ag said:
That was 7 plays? Passing judgement on those cherry picked plays is curating a narrative.
The first 2 had a guy open on the hitch that he didn't hit. He had a guy open on the TE corner route that he did hit. He had a guy crossing the middle that he passed up and hit the dude in the end zone. The others were covered up pretty well.
I'd have to see the whole games work of pass plays to pass judgement and I was t able to do that on Sunday.
No. Dallas was at the bottom of the league in terms of WR separation because for the same reasonsSouthlake said:
Is McCarthy's offense any different than last year?
As you like to point out trends during Dak's tenure, the same is true for Mccarthy's. If you look at last year's offense you'll see the same thingsWoods Ag said:
I'm not blaming Dak. He made some awesome throws in that clip.
Just saying you can paint whatever narrative you want by collecting a handful of plays on video. He threw 51 times and that was 7 of the attempts. We have no other context from that video.

I get people want to draw the correlation with our situation, but the idea that the mere existence of Dan Snyder made Robert Griffin's knee explode and then forget how to read defenses remains superstitious nonsense no matter how many times it gets said.
