From the article. Searchers just discard their gloves at the scene?

"According to the FBI spokesperson, this process typically takes 24 hours from when the bureau receives DNA. In total, investigators have collected at least 16 gloves from areas near the house. The agency notes that most of them were searchers' gloves."

Gloves? I thought only 1 was found 2 miles away?

Standby. Prepare for the announcement tomorrow that they really didn't find any gloves and this was a package that once contained gloves unrelated to this case.

I thought the sheriffs office undermined the fbi and sent the items for dna testing to private lab in Florida, so wouldn't the sheriffs office be awaiting the results?

Also lmfao at searchers gloves just be tossed about the crime scene.

So who was in the white van?

What van? People in the general area of Nancy's neighborhood reported seeing an unmarked van on their street a days before she vanished. Then the media wildfire started looking at every white van in Tucson, and evidently there are A LOT of them. It became the boogie man, of sorts. Just like when they released the ring video of the masked guy, everyone started reviewing their clouds and have now released they have *******s combing their neighborhoods digging in mailboxes and checking cars to see if their locked or have keys in them. X is full of people posting their ring videos they are finding. And evidently up until now these liberal elites paid no attention and had no situational awareness of living an hour from the border in a section of AZ that is crawling with illegals.

It's not just Mexicans/ illegals, plenty of white tweeker meth monsters roaming around neighborhoods looking for cars or anything easy to rob in Arizona ...The Nextdoor app is full of pictures and vids of them in lots of suburbs.

White vans are common everywhere for trades people. Hvac, plumbers, etc..People even use them to travel the country and camp out of them...

The Sheriff's office did send them off to the third party lab in Florida, however that lab has no access to CODIS, so once the results from this lab are done the result and a split sample can be given to Quantico and then Quantico will test the split and enter it in CODIS to see if they get a hit. The third party lab only has the ability to compare their result to private databases like AncestryDNA (the largest private database), 23andMe, MyHeritage, and FamilyTreeDNA.

That's the entire stupidity of the S.O. sending it to a third party, when Quantico is where CODIS access is. Quantico can turn the sample around in 24 hrs instead of days like the third party lab.

I posted this video several pages back, where Brian Entin interviews Nanos' former #2 and 40 year veteran of the Pima CO S.O., he gives his take and the history of Nanos, and his disdain for the FBI and ego problem.

Here a former FBI explains what I just said

My Bias subjective summary of this video, but I have posted receipts in the past few days of what I'm saying, CRITICAL NOTE in the bungling of the Nancy Guthrie abduction (if it's really an abduction) case by anti-ICE, pro-open borders, pro-illegal immigration DEI Democrat Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos.

The FBI could have immediately analyzed and obtained preliminary findings from all discovered DNA and evidence in the Nancy Guthrie abduction case within 24 hours at the FBI's world premiere criminal investigative laboratory at Quantico, Virginia.

An FBI spokesperson said the gloves found in a field near the side of the road about two miles from Nancy Guthrie's home were packaged up by the Pima County Sheriff's Department and sent overnight Thursday to a private lab in Florida, adding that they arrived at the lab on Friday.

The FBI received preliminary results on Saturday, according to the spokesperson, and are awaiting quality control and official confirmation before putting the unknown male profile into CODIS, the bureau's national DNA database. The spokesperson said this process typically takes 24 hours from when the bureau receives DNA.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Fox News on Sunday that DNA results in the Nancy Guthrie case are still pending at the private lab in Florida and could take anywhere from 1 to 10 days "depending on the urgency we place on any one item."

The sheriff added that, as an example, "a glove located two miles from the scene would get more attention than a glove found 10 miles away."

Instead of getting immediate results on the DNA within 24 hours, Chris Nanos bungled the investigation based upon his own far-left Democrat, anti-FBI, anti-ICE bias and sent the DNA to a Democrat, women-owned private forensic lab in Florida "where culture matters" and it will take anywhere from 1 to 10 days to get results. That lab also does not have the sophisticated technology or capabilities that the FBI's lab has like CODIS, ICD or CICED.

I thought that I had dreamed this but then I found a screenshot that I'd made. Another interesting theory about the motive. Apologies if this was posted earlier (SIAP).

Sounds like a new tactic...I've watched a (few?) hundred police interrogation videos on YT - It's evident there's a typical line of questioning they use to get a perp to confess: "We know she's dead, we know you were there - you didnt mean for anything bad to happen...maybe it was an accident. Maybe the victim had a medical episode that lead to her demise...we don't care about your involvement, we just want to know what happened so the family can have closure".

The perp believes them and starts to talk...Then they throw the book at him when he inevitably breaks down under progressive scrutiny & stress and confesses.

The Reid technique. Interesting history and pretty controversial. A bit of a derail, but it's so good that it gets innocent people to confess too.

-DNA evidence from the Range Rover is currently being tested after Friday night's operations

-The widespread investigative belief is Nancy Guthrie could be alive

Holy Andy Rooney eyebrows!

Cannot unsee.

Hope the find Nancy and she can take Savannah for some help there.

And it's absolutely bizarre how this thing has gone over the past two weeks. I am not sure any step has proceeded along a usual path.

It's very disappointing to see how easily it is to abscond with a very elderly woman in the middle of the night in a nice neighborhood and populated area.

There's got to be a bigger story brewing here, and I ain't talking those hedges erupting from SGs forehead.

With what Dirty Mike posted, are we thinking the dna results didnt produce any leads in the fbi's database, therefore could be a reason Savannah posted this video. Kind of a back to square one situation.

If this is actually resolved, one way or the other, there has been so much bull**** put out by the "experts," these so called reporters, and random people on social media, that there will be a huge number of people who won't believe it, and we'll be treated to endless conspiracy theories forever.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. I think it is obvious the cops have nothing substantial at all. If they really had info linking the guy in the Range Rover to the crime they wouldn't have released him pending DNA results. Probably their only hope is that the DNA eventually gives them a name.

NY Post reported the Door Dash driver was stopped because a family member called in a tip that he looked like the masked man and he was a high percentage match to the facial features apparently. If that's all they got they are really grasping. I can't believe that was enough to get a search warrant allowing a posse of SWAT vehicles and bomb units sent after you.

What I find pretty ridiculous is that they can claim that the random black disposable nitrile vinyl glove found on the side of the road is some kind a rarity and not available ANYWHERE.

Remember the brown leather gloves found at the center of the O.J. Simpson murder trial were considered highly unique due to their specific manufacturer, limited production run, and distinct, outdated design features. They were Aris Isotoner Lights (specifically, a brown leather version). Only like 200 pairs of that particular model were sold in the United States in 1990. It had some kind of unique stitching that hadn't been done since WW2, sold only by Bloomingdales, and they made a 2 day testimony about them only to have F Lee Bailey duped the prosecution into letting OJ try them on, and you know the rest.

Geez these are black disposable nitrile vinyl gloves, used in almost any food service application, painters, mechanics, dog groomers, you name it, and based on a door bell video shot at night they are going to base their match off that.

If they eventually charge someone, a half decent defence attorney is going to get all the evidence tossed in this goat roping. Crime scene contamination issues, chain of custody issues. Numerous shortcomings of Daubert or Frye tests. This entire case is a joke the way it's been handled.

From a prosecutor's perspective, I was always cognizant of how will this case be tried. I hope the Tucson DA and the US Attorney who covers the southern part of Arizona have talked. Right now I do not see a Federal nexus that would give the feds. jurisdiction. IMO the ransom "notes" are BS.

I hated when we had people from 2 or 3 labs having to testify. Especially if one was from Quantico. Often times it was hard to get these experts scheduled to fly to west Texas in a logical sequence. And if I was the DA in this jurisdiction and I was pretty sure this case would be handled by my office, I would be in the middle of making the decisions as to what labs would be used

Yeah based on a video from a doorbell camera with a fisheye lens, that won't last under real scrutiny in court and vanish like a pair of panties on prom night

Yeah I've yet to see the whole AI manipulation of photos or AI hypothesis of what "could be" actually being challenged in court. Criminal sketch artists have a hard time as evidence, and eyewitness testimony isn't much better. To me from a legal standpoint AI involving evidence sounds like a no go.
