SOunds like they detained someone near Rio Rico AZ in Santa Cruz County, situated about 12 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border (near Nogales) and 50 something miles south of Tucson.

Yep he was heading for the border.

Sounds like maybe they were on him earlier and hoping he led them to Nancy but when he headed for the border they took him.

Fox reported says Customs is on the scene searching property tied to the detainee. Not a good sign because from what I watched earlier in the investigation Customs has dogs that locate bodies. The guy being caught headed for the border tells me she's gone.

Agree. Could be sort of innocently culpable in telling a guy with a rap sheet for embezzlement, robbery, etc, too much information about her and finances.

Both plausible. But you can be sure a petty criminal would roll over pretty quick if he was not the mastermind behind this obvious hack job.

I'd be pretty shocked if the SIL is not right in the middle of this. Maybe he didn't actually take moma home that night. Put me at the front of the line with MIL problems. I would never take it to this level, but every man has his breaking point. Something happens and then the SIL calls up his band buddy to stage a break in at the house. It would explain why he was dressed like the staypuff marshmallow man and he tried to cover up the doorbell cam with flowers. He was trying to help his friend (like a dumbass. After his pic was posted he tried to flee to Mexico.
