Having watched too many crime shows, if you were to pay the ransom, wouldn't it be an exchange IRL somehow?? Wouldn't pay the ransom and hope they let her go or tell you where she is??

It was disconnected via blue tooth. Not necessarily that it stopped working.
Investigators have not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to Nancy Guthrie. Anyone who believes they have information that may assist investigators is asked to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or the PCSD non-emergency line at 520-351-4900, or 88-CRIME.

Here's another thing everyone best keep in mind. In the Arizona desert, human remains can transition to skeletonization in as little as 6-9 days. Factor in the varmints and insect activity and a body is gone pretty quick. Tucson area is in the 80's this time of year during the days and get down in the 50's at night. If she was dumped in the desert, there's nothing but bones left. Bodies don't last long in the brush.
Yeah, and there's hundreds of square miles of desert in all directions from Tuscon. The police must truly think this kidnapping thing is legit, and the kidnappers still have her or her remains. Otherwise, I would think they would be asking for the public's help, calling on all the outdoorsy types, avid ATV'ers, etc to get out in the desert around Tuscon to help search..
I think she's probably south of the border, the way these ransomers have asked for "USD"...Why wouldn't they just say 6 million dollars or 6 million cash. They add "USD" to the end of it.
So you guys thinking they hauled her out of the house, through the desert and finally had to ditch her because of health or fight or whatever? Seems like if they knew they were taking her, they knew she was going to be essentially non-mobile. Or are you saying things didn't work out at the holding place so they just went ahead and dumped?
I think some young cartel dude(s) got stupid and greedy and saw an easy scenario to take her.. Who knows if they still have her or not. Maybe they think somehow they can still get ransom money for giving up information. Maybe they got smart and figured out they were in over their head and just killed and dumped her and some other unrelated scamming outsiders are asking for ransom.
I think if it were anyone close to her or some amateur kidnapper, they'd already be cooked, that's why I think this is some Cartel thing and they headed South.

The deadline has come and gone. The SIL hasn't been seen in a week since allegedly dropping his mother-in-law off at her home after dinner & games at his house. Authorities have no clue where she is and have no body.
The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office has recorded over 4,000 cases of human remains found in the desert in their county since 2000.
4,000 people that they found dead.
That's a lot.
As I said before it's easy to hide or dumb a body in the Pima County Arizona desert. To give you an idea of what the terrain is like once you get outside of Tucson — #NancyGuthrie pic.twitter.com/1hOcQZFTCd

Where are Savannah Guthrie husband and children? There has been no mention of them.
Why on earth would they want to make this public information right now?!?!Quote:

I just asked a few hours ago what @SenMarkKelly was doing in the first few days after Nancy was reported missing. He said he was remaining involved after Savannah called him before the public became aware she was missing.
