They make their $$ with drugs and illicit buz enterprises in the U.S. In Mexico, they make sure US vacationers are safe in huge tourist areas to protect investment.

Yeah, they kidnap in Mexico- but they are NOT so stupid as to sanction a high profile kidnapping like this, close to the border. Thats a death wish to their core business.

These are low-level thugs. May be Mexican, but not cartel.

That's like a lot of suburb neighborhoods, and horse properties in Arizona. Shocking though in this case with who her daughter is...It was the worse place for her to be, but maybe she was just stubborn and refused to leave her home and move to a gated community with security...

The Mexican Gangs in AZ don't play by those rules, they have been kidnapping people here for years, just mostly not white American Citizens. They were kidnapping so many illegals close to a decade ago that here in Phoenix they set up a police task force to help the families in the US and Mexico get their relatives back from the gang. They would hold the victims in houses here in the valley in Phoenix while the police and families negotiated with them..

I agree with you though, they don't want this kind of heat, but they are human and screw up too.

interesting, but as i said, a kidnapping "like this". No way cartel is signing up for that.

You're right though, some low level may have screwed up, and they're probably lying under some desert sand as their reward.

That would be my guess if it was a gang member, messed up really bad, or maybe hiding out in Mexico. Unfotunately, probably Miss Guthrie is in the desert somewhere too. They should have been searching the desert days ago, the whole thing is just weird.

Dont think it's a flashlight. It doesn't appear in view. One of the pics posted makes it look like a grill.

It's a flashlight in their mouth. You can see them turn it on and off at the beginning of this video. It also kinda looks like they might be wearing one of those mesh celebrity like face masks under the other mask.

They should be able to accurately guess his height based on the camera height/position and the brick wall behind him. Its just math.

Does the software or AI filter things out? I am not seeing the pistol in a holster here. Looks more like it is in his waistband.
