I'd really like to how know these upscaled/enhanced images are produced. I'm assuming many of them are AI, in which case I don't know how viable and accurate they really are. I seem to remember people did the same thing with Tyler Robinson after the Charlie Kirk murder and the enhanced images ended up not being accurate at all.

My municipality has outlawed door-to-door solicitation after home invasion crimes became popular (I live in close proximity to a few bad neighborhoods and quick access to multiple freeways).

Nobody just pops in at my house - I know in advance if anyone is coming for a visit.

A guy like this perp would have zero chance of me letting him in - and I'd get to defense weaponry before he'd be able to physically break in.

Edit: I'm shocked the Guthries don't have their 84 y/o mom living in a neighborhood behind gates.

I have 2 big clear glass doors at the front of my house and absolutely check my ring before walking to my living room. I have a "no solicitors" sign which they all ignore, and since I work from home, I use my Ring doorbell to ask people what they need anytime someone unexpected is at my door. I have a subscription and keep everything in the cloud, and every entrance to my house has cameras covering it.

I couldn't imagine living in a wealthy neighborhood that loves completely darkness and NOT having better security than me.

Sort of odd backpack choice to have those huge reflectors on the shoulder straps if you were trying to be a sneaky burgler, no?

Rewatched the video really slowed down. Im thinking he has a small flashlight in his mouth. They make really small LED lights now, even magnetic ones, that light up when separated from a keychain

That's my opinion, and I think some dumb cartel dude too, the bosses probably won't be happy with him for snatching a high profile target like this that will be all over the media and draw FBI heat. I think it got really messed up and they had to dump her. No way they would chance taking her across the border and getting caught there at the border, and they can't walk across the border through the desert with an 84 year old woman...I'd be searching the desert South and West of Tuscon, big time...They won't go North toward Phoenix, too many people and cameras everywhere.

The reason I don't buy botched robbery is that there is no reason to take her anywhere. She's killed and dead at the scene.

Taking a body significantly increases the chance you get caught to begin with - all sorts of methods to be seen disposing of it, cleaning up, her DNA in the vehicle, etc. People get robbed and killed at the scene of the robbery all the time. They don't scoop them up and take them

A LOT of people are under the impression that the perp took the Ring Camera, it that were true why didn't he just take it right away? It's very possible that the initial patrolman or the original investigator from th Pima Co S.O. took the RIng Camera. Reporter Brian Entin was who showed the first images of the Ring Camera missing, but that was after the Pima Co S.O. released the crime scene the next day.

Reports of the Ring Camera disconnecting 1;58 AM may be complete nonsense on the part of the Sheriff's Dept. Remember it was the Sheriff that said Nancy regularly attended church, which turned out to be nonsense too.

I'm assuming based on the video and the satellite images of the neighborhood front doors are far enough away from the street that no other cameras in the neighborhood caught him coming and going.

That's possible. Should have clarified that if they were just robbing on the domicile. If there were plans to get money after whether it be taking her to an ATM or ransom, then yes, that's possible

Possibly but would expect the family would strongly object to that video being released.

How did he get in the house? If you believe the Sheriff investigators they said there were no clear signs of forced entry. I don't think an old lady would open the door at 1:30 in the morning with a guy in a ski mask on her porch. Did he pick the lock?

Dont think it's a flashlight. It doesn't appear in view. One of the pics posted makes it look like a grill.
