As you pointed out, lots of area that will hide the body until it is scavenged. Even if they do arrest and charge some people, that crime scene early on is a mess and with no body, this one will go the route of never solved.

Has it been reported that things were stolen? As mentioned before if it was a theft that resulted in murder why take the body?
What other possible reason to take somebody alive if not for ransom? What reason to risk moving a dead body if already dead?

Also believe she died that night, either from trauma or a medical emergency due to lack of meds / heart attack, etc.

Use personal funds (e.g., up to $1M) to put a bounty on our mother's remains and identification of those responsible. The funds will be in escrow and sent directly to the individual by a third party upon confirmed recovery of the remains and the perp(s) being arrested.
People like money. Thugs will roll on each other for a pack of zig zags and a dime bag. Throw out a cool million and see what happens.

The abductor arrived with a full backpack. What were the contents? You would think a typical burglar would arrive with it empty to haul things away. There have been no reports of valuables missing, if there were cops would have discussed this as a home invasion gone wrong.

What can't be explained to me that makes sense is They claim the garage door opened and closed in two minutes, TWO MINUTES!! There's no way that feeble old woman that uses a cane got out of that car and in the house in two minutes.

Potentially having trauma with the blood found on the porch and highly unlikely the kidnapper grabbed her meds, I just dont think she survived this. The family's video talking about celebrating with her sounded like a recover the body request.

I think it was intended as a kidnapping for ransom, they roughed her up too much and she hemorrhaged to death - likely a brain bleed because of the blood thinners. Guessing what was on the ground was a nosebleed, but for someone on blood thinners and with the issues she seems to have, there was a major issue brewing inside her head due to whatever blow caused the nosebleed.

Since they said that whatever was in the house caused them to call in the homicide detectives, there may have been a lot of blood in the house.
I personally cant even believe this is news and still in the news. Hundred/Thousands of children are missing in this country and the media latches on to this because it was the mom of a host of a third rate morning show. What a shallow country we've become.

Family may be involved, but I think the real payola sits with Savannah. They want $6 mill and I bet they could have gotten it. Then they get 1/3 of the estate too. The house is worth about a million which is a pittance divided 3 ways, husband died in the 80s, and after he died she worked as a clerk at UofArizona to help put her kids thru school (discounted rates). I don't sense she's sitting on massive wealth of her own

I think she died that night - possibly a burglary gone wrong and she fought and scratched the burglar, and he/they figured they are better off disposing the body in the desert than leaving it there with potentially their dna on it.

I had not seen this mentioned before but the ransom note mentioned Nancy wearing an Apple Watch as proof that the note was coming from the kidnappers but that is questionable as Nancy was seen wearing that watch on news reports so anyone could have known that.

Surely they are doing DNA analysis on the blood? Or have already done it since it was found the first day.
If so, have they determined whether or not it's her blood or someone else's? If not hers, they've likely got a sample of the kidnapper's DNA
