So basically the island is like a scary movie - have sex and you will soon be dead.
Have they ever said how Jack's father died? I can't remember. I was thinking for a while that maybe A-L killed him somehow.

Ana Lucia's story had gone full circle with the phone call to her mom. Lights out. That show was the shiznit.
It's obvious what he's doing, he's framing Henry, is going to kill him, and then get everyone so outraged they want to kill the others

From what I've read the show is planned for a couple more seasons so far.

Michael lets Henry go, The Others told him to save Henry and they will release Walt.
Michael is going to let Henry go, work the survivors into a frenzy about Henry, start a war, and then betray them again in the end.
I don't care what anyone else says, I love this show even more after tonight. Thank God they killed off some of the survivors.
And I think there is an Others camp near another hatch, but I bet that's a ruse too. Either that or the barefooted Others aren't associated with the scientists at all.

the only Others I know of are associated with the scientist guys.
Ethan - took Claire to medical hatch
Bearded dude on boat/"Zeke" - beard etc. later found in medical hatch and cleanly shaven beared dude
'Henry Gale' - no direct link to scientist guys, but did refer to the ominious "him" who Zeke and Ethan also referred to in medical ward; also he acknowledges that his group has Walt
Goodwin - no link to scientists other than the fact that Henry Gale mentioned him, so I assume he was in same group as Henry
Alex - She was kidnapped from Rosseau and later turned up with bearded guy

Why do they keep killing off all the girls though. Can we get some guys to die also. I really dont want to be watching a show with all dudes.
I don't think Libby's dead. She will just be in a 'coma' and unable to tell everyone about Michael until its too late.
Libby's character hasn't been developed enough to kill off just yet (unless of course they choose to develop her character through Hurley's flashbacks)

I'm confused. I'm not assuming the Others are attached to the scientists... we don't know who the Others are or who/what they include.

For all we know, the scientists could be directly manipulating this other group with divulging their intentions... they could be just a subset of the Others clan. We don't know now... but I'm willing to be we will by the end of this season.
I guess by 'scientists' I was talking about the guys in white coats sticking Claire with needles, etc.

Now I'm confused. If you were saying there's a subset of Others that aren't associated with the scientists aren't you implying that the rest of them ARE associated with the scientists?

I'd say so. Yes. And there's a possibility that this brand of people comprises the whole of the Others bunch. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is the kidnapping of the children and when Michael and Eko saw the Others feet walking around the jungle... that too may be all part of the act, but we don't know for sure.
There's definite reason to suspect that the village surrounding the other hatch is merely a facade and Michael is leading them into a trap.

I can see how that is worded poorly. By not associated with the scientists, I mean not aware that they are scientists. They are inter-mingled... but the unaware are part of the experiment or something else. Just speculation.
They aren't aware that they're scientists? How is one a scientist but unaware of it?

Wait... in the Others group there are scientists and then there is the unwashed mass. The scientists dress up like the unwashed and pretend to be primitive, but they are secretly controlling the group.

Ok yeah, but my point was that you're assuming that ANY of them are scientists. There's a lot of theories that they're the Hanso people but with this show, seeing is believing.

Definitely. It could be anything. The only reason I even use the term "scientist" is due to Claire's abduction and the appearence of Zeke in the medical bay.
