Do you guys think that they want Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley because they are the one's that have seen "visions" on the island? It may also have something to do with Ms. Clue asking Michael if Walt had ever shown up somewhere he was not supposed to be.

(Visions meaning Jack's dad, the black horse, and Dave; all showing up where they are not supposed to be.)

Okay, regarding Walt/Michael:

Either one or both of these guys are going to have to go... either killed or defecting to the Others or leaving the island in a solar-powered boat or being sucked into the inter-dimensional vortex behind the last hatch door or whatever.

I just don't see anyway they can keep Walt (at least in his present form) around while he gets old in real time and I don't see Michael going back to the group if he indeed leads Jack and those guys into a trap.

i think they used their first and last names(and sawyers real name) because they were going off of the flight records(but im not sure how they got those in the first place.) but they had a list of people they wanted when they grabbed those kids from the tail people.

Michael is a complete idiot. There was no reason to shoot Ana at all. He should have taken the gun, and taken Henry outside. Ana was likely not going to follow him if he'd done that. He could have simply fired a shot in the air, or at himself as he did to let Henry go.

Jack is also a gullible fool and I'm starting to like him less and less. All signs point to Micheal being compromised. If someone is asking me to risk my life to save his son, damn sure I'm going to have a say in how it goes down. This whole "It's Michaels call" is stupid. If someone asks you to do something like that and says "my way only" I'm going to ask him why and if he doesn't have a good answer I'm telling that guy to take a hike.

Michael is an idiot, but he's desperate and not in the right state of mind.

Jack is just an all-out idiot. I hate his character.

agracer, he could have done that but then he never could have convinced jack, sawyer, hurley, and kate to go with him to find the Others. the Other chick said that "their anger" will convince them to do anything, or something to that effect.

as for jack being an idiot, well, yeah he is.

I thought the scene with Walt was wrenching. I felt so bad for both of them.

Walt's comments regarding, "They're not who they say they are" was telling. I think the whole mudhut camp is a charade; they're all the scientists just trying to lull Michael into complacency and that's what Walt was referring to. "They have me take tests" - what tests are they running on him?

Once again, Sawyer's never-ending list of nicknames comes through: calling Hurley "The Grape Ape" and saying the obvious thing we the audience were all thinking, "Hey if we're going to war we might want to invite the Red Beret."

I agree. That was pretty wild ass when Charlie just walks up with some vaccine and Claire takes it immediately... not knowing if that's the same stuff they gave her in the medical bay. And Charlie says it's okay since he already shot up with it.

I don't think that's Desmond's boat. He said he crashed on the island... so I would figure he wouldn't have stuck around if he boat was viable.

What if Desmond crashed on the smiley face balloon with the real Henry Gale? Or at least the real Henry Gale was in the same race Desmond was.

It was the list of names clue gave him.


As for writing the list, I'm not sure the Others know that Michael knows all of these people. I'm pretty sure clue asked him something along the lines of "Do you know the rest of them" after he asked who James Ford is.

It is not Michael's call when lives are at stake. If you want me to go on some crazy mission for your son, then I am probably going to ask the trained soldier to accompany us. Just like Sawyer said, I am pretty sure he would be a little more help than a somewhat skilled fugitive woman and a fat guy who worked at a chicken restaurant.

Michael's rationale behind not bringing Sayid amounted to only a group of five people, of which one is affectionately known as Jabba, will go undetected.

Sayid was right. This is a group call, not Michael's. I'm really growing tired of this "I HAVE TO GET MY BOY! GIVE ME BACK MY BOY" routine that's devolving into schtick. I kinda wish Hurley would have remained adamant that he wasn't going to go just to see what Michael would have done to get him out there.

Odds are that Sayid is going to trail the group, pop out at the last minute, and **** up all Michael's hopes from GETTING MY BOY BACK.

He already had 3 of the 4 on his side. NBD to take 3 this time, then come back and force Hurley at gunpoint to come with him (Hurley is always alone and no one would miss him for a day or two).

One other thing, why was Michael able to use a compass on the Island, but Locke could not earlier in the show (it would not work)?

Why hasn't Locke confronted Michael over beating him over the head (and I hate it when TV does that hit over the head/knock someon out crap - do you know how hard it is to do that and not cause some brain damage).

This show is starting to slip. I hope they get their crap together and start to make things more believable. At first it was curious doubt on some things going on (the security system, the smoke, etc.) but now people have suddenely become stupid. Jack has become a trusting fool, Sawyer is still loved despite taking the guns and being and ass to EVERYONE, Hurley is suddenly out for vengance (totally out of character - his changing his mind was WEAK).

Sorry to rant. I was really liking this show but they are starting to lose me.
