why does that guy in interview say she was shot?

throwing a curve?

I wouldnt put it past them to lie. I saw some theories where she is shot and stabbed. That was reaching a little too far for me.

The other picture that I think everyone is ignoring a little too much is the one where a shadow of a person is in the foreground when shannon gets up and runs away from Sayid. It is not Ana (Ana shouldnt be that close to them at that point) and its not Walt. (the shadow is standing there watching them..walt was running away)

So we have someone in the woods who is un-accounted for watching shannon and sayid before she gets killed, shannon ends up with what looks like a stab wound, and someone standign over her at the end who is not Ana and who is holding something in the left hand that is unlike anything someone in Ana's group is carrying........

Also, i have a feeling the thing Sayid tripped over will come back into play. Its just way too obvious and out of place (a metal pipe in the middle of he forest?)

anyone on here loser enough to throw or go to a Lost watching party? (besides cavok) Actually it wouldnt be a bad idea for these big episodes like tonights or the season finale.

Happy watching..

I cook dinner for my sister every Wed and she watches with my wife and I. Not sure if that is a party, but it's something.

I thought it totally sucked. Ana-Lucia is such a *****. I hope Sayid kills her.

The only redeeming thing was finding out about Goodwin and why certain people were taken and others weren't.

When I was watching this episonde, the thing that struck me right off was the second groups radio. Remember when Boone was in the drug plane and sent a message like "Help, we are the survivors of oceanic flight 815" and the immediate response was "No, we are the survivors of flight 815". That had to come from them on the other side of the island.

Damn I'm good.

he did imply the people who were taken were "good people" right? I wonder what makes Ana, Echo, and the rest "bad." Or maybe they were just waiting to take them?

So from the preview for next week, did it look like Ana was gonna slice up Sayid, or do you think she has him tied up and is gonna let him go? Who gets shot next week, or is it a warning shot?

Didn't Sawyer say there was only one bullit in that gun? How is she going to get off another shot?

tv goof up? false preview? sawyer lied? (the last is most likely)

Also, I kind of like Ana Lucia. I think she had to take the same roll that Jack did as the leader of a group of people. But in her group they had it a lot harder with people getting taken in the middle of the night, no medicine, etc. I think in the 48 days on the island they changed a lot more than the front of the plane, a little more Lord of the Flies.

Congrats. You uncovered a theory that people came up with in March that was confirmed in the 2nd episode of this season.

they tried to take eko and he killed them. ana-lucia is "bad" in that she's paranoid and doesn't go with the flow. if the others are taking the survivors to live with them, i imagine having ana-lucia around would only cause problems.

Anyone get the feeling that Ana Lucia is former US military? She seems like she knows how to fight very well and obviously knows her weapons.

Are there 2 groups of Others? I don't see Desmond and the Dharma folks being super-fit infiltrating killers, ala Ethan and Goodwin. Where does Rousseau fit in this, and where the heck did she go? Where's Desmond? I think there's the Dharma folks, and then this 2nd, Lord of the Flies group (that's maybe a spin-off?) Damn...I don't know.

Ana's character is awful. No one tells her to dial it back a little?

I like how all my favorites from "Ed" are showing up. First Carol Vessey, now Dr. Burton. Maybe Dr. Jerome will appear!
NoACDamnit
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Desmond isn't part of the Others. The Dharma people aren't part of the Others.
Latrobe
How long do you want to ignore this user?
oh well...guess I was wrong. But I still think there is something more to that scene where shannon got shot. I guess we'll find out eventually.

As far as the others taking ana...werent they trying to take her when she killed the one. Or did that "other" just happen to trip over the wrong *****.

It really doesnt make sense that they would try to take Eko to live with them. Didnt goodwin say that they were taking picking off the strong the ones who were a threat. I think they wanted to kill the strong ones and take the kids to live with them.

What I dont understand is why the Others picked on only one set of survivors so much. I initially thought it was because the two sections of plane went down so far apart...the others really werent around Jack's group. But Ethan was involved in Jacks group the way Goodwin was with Ana's. So why no killing off of the strong from Jacks group?
Apache
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Jack's group was much larger, and had fewer kids in it.....therefore a less inviting target.

Some things I'm wondering:

1. What in the heck are they doing with the kids? The guy last night said they were in no danger.

2. At what point do the survivors set up guards? Establish a defensive perimeter? After the Polar Bears and Monsters, I would have people posted as look outs/guards. The fact that they haven't done that baffels me.

3. The people on the boat: Others? or Dharma People? They look like people in the film....I think the Others ARE the Dharma people - gone crazy. Who else would have a boat? It seems odd that both the Others and the Dharma people would both want to capture children....that's why I think they are one in the same.

Maybe because there were only two they wanted. Walt and the infant.

The infant had to be born first.

Walt, on the other hand, had a couple of things going on. The Others obviously know everything about the groups through infiltration. Maybe they thought Walt would take off since he hated his father so much, and they could grab him in the forest. Maybe since Walt had his dog there, they had to capture him on the water to not have a scent to track.

I also think they did try and kill the strong. The first person to see the island for what it is, is Locke. Maybe Locke brokered some sort of deal, you never know.
Apache
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The dog also makes it difficult to attack the group without a warning bark alerting everyone.

Locke is a little on the crazy side IMO. What the heck was he doing with all those knives? Also remember the Monster came after Locke...then it cut to another scene. Afterwards Locke shows up....none the worse for wear. What the heck happened? Why was Locke unafraid to be drug into a hole?

And what the heck is that smoke stuff that floats around like a ghost?

This show drives me freakin' bezerk.

Is nobody disappointed that last nights hour did nothing to advance the plot? It just introduced a lot of other potential plots. This series is running the risk of spinning out of control.

What about the polar bear? The 108 minute button? The wet Walt? The Irishman? Jon Locke's legs? The monstors? THE MONSTORS?!?

I started watching this series to see some King Kong vs. Godzilla / Jurassic Park action. I'm getting tired of watching butch women with attitudes beat up on con artists and soldiers.
Phoenix9
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ana is definitely cutting Sayid loose in the preview

they do need to get back to the main plot a little

i mean the hatch and button were such a huge thing and now have not even been mentioned for a few episodes. I know, I know only a few days have gone by on the island

still could have shown little clips of locke or jack pushing the button

I was completely annoyed by all the days... Day 1... Day 4... Day 26... gimme a break. Some of them were there for oh about 10 seconds too. I knew within the first 5 mins that the episode was going to annoy me.

What I really want to know is how (in the very first scene) Jack ended up flat on his back in the middle of a bamboo forest immediately after a plane crash?

Also, the Others are incredibly strong compared to everyone else. I wish something would explain that. They broke that guy Nathan's neck like a twig.

Very good episode in my opinion. I think we see a little of what makes Anna so tough and rough. She is a natural leader, as someone said earlier probably former military. Also we can look forward to a hunt of the others coming, she will be determined to get the kids back. Her, Locke, Ecko and Sayid would make a very formidable team.

That, and how did all the people in the tail section end up scattered in the water, while the tail section itself sank in the background. Wouldn't they have been in their seats back there? Ana was in the very back seat in the back of the plane - how was she out in the water? I guess I need to suspend disbelief that any of them survived the deceleration injuries of a plummet from 30,000 feet.

You think psychiatrist Libby will tip off the the guys in the hatch about the Skinner Box?

Jack already thinks it is a big experiment...which is what frustrated me about him pushing the button.

Ana Lucia is a terrible leader who has made plenty of bad decisions for her group.

Libby has mentioned to both groups that she is a clinical psychologist. I believe that she has a definite role in the experiment in some way.

Philo, as I've stated before, if you watch the show on a week to week basis for the plot advancement, THEN YOU ARE WATCHING THE WRONG SHOW.

As long as they have ratings, they are going to drag this bad boy out as much as possible.

Accept that or stop watching. I personally don't want answers any time soon, as I like the buildups and back stories.

IF they wanted a show that just told you about a plane crash on a wierd deserted island, it could have just been a miniseries.
Philo B 93
How long do you want to ignore this user?
H.E. Pennypacker - You're right. I would have preferred a miniseries or a movie. There are some stories that should have a beginning and an end, and this should be one of them. There was a good desert island show that was structured to be a long lasting weekly series years ago. It was about 7 stranded castaways out for a 3 hour tour.

This one will go on as long as the sponsors are buying ad space, and then it will die an ugly death as the writers take stronger and stronger pills to push their creative juices.
H.E. Pennypacker1
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm a little afraid of that. I'm hopeful that htey have an endgame already set. Hopefully, they just have to come up with filler from season to season.
