What I want to know is, why were they trying to pry up the blast door when all Locke had to do was climb up through the vent?
Me and my roommates asked the same thing...

quote:
i did find it odd when the door was on locke's leg... henry stacked some weights under the door and suddenly the pressure was off of locke's leg. Unless i misunderstand physics... i'm pretty sure they would need to lift the door up a bit and slide an extra weight under the door to remove the pressure. but thats just me.
quote:
I'd like to know why Locke didn't brace the door with the weights before attempting to dive under it.

quote:
the lockdown/balloon drop made me think that the others want whoever is in the hatch to get locked down... so that they can restock the pantry from the balloon drop and whoever is in the hatch doesn't know how it gets in there... only that its magically delicious

quote:
That makes alot of sense. Although how do you make sure whoever is in the hatch is actually in the hatch at the Lock down point?
quote:
the only problem, it would seem that after 2 or 3 times of reporting to the living quarters only to be let out to find the pantry restocked, the people in the hatch would figure it out.
quote:
Anyone notice that the writing on the door seems to go beyond the top of the door? How could it? I mean, conceivably, the writing all takes place during the periods that the doors are down. Then how is there writing going above the top? Oops, sorry, I guess because Locke didn't let the door all the way down. Disregard stupidity

I wonder if the "Here be dragons" is just an easter egg reference to notes on one of maps in the Hobbit.
