There would be practically no stakes at all. There weren't really stakes in this season but it didn't matter as much because we knew the season was building to a Vader/Obi Wan duel.

That and everything they had to create new for this show sucked and now you'd be trying to build everything new.
i'd assume they'd have to have some sort of tie in with rebels characters.....obi-wan would have to go off-world somewhere to start helping with the start of the rebels and get involved with Kanan and the crew of the Ghost, which if done right would honestly be pretty cool cause there could be a reunion with Kenobi and Rex and maybe even Ashoka...as well as expand a lot more with Qui-gon...

and they shouldn't even need to involve Vader cause doing so wouldn't even make sense at this point with how they ended this season

crap now I want a season 2 and to see this!!!

But Obi Wan isn't involved with the rebellion and the crew from Rebels didn't even believe Ezra when he said he was alive right? So they couldn't have met.

There just aren't many pieces currently on the board that it would make sense to interact with. Other than Yoda chillin out there somewhere.

No one on the Ghost crew knows Obi-Wan is alive until Ezra and Maul discover it together, so I don't think they'll pull that thread.

Obi-Wan's line about all Luke needs is Owen and Beru right now would certainly be an opening to other adventures off-world. The most obvious would be helping the Path in some way. If they're going to shoehorn Reva back in, they could have her trying to help the Force sensitives escape, but that would lead right back to the Inquisitors and Vader and Sheev.

A Tatooine-based adventure would be more fun, especially if it involved Jabba and his often-mentioned in other places rival, Lady Valarian, or other Hutts - the Han Solo novels by AC Crispin really explored the Hutts and had some interesting stuff in them.

Maybe have some other element trying to take Tatooine from the Hutts with a fire and brimstone approach that makes Obi-Wan ally with them? At the end of the day, you're having to figure out how to get Obi-Wan into situations where he can use the Force and a lightsaber without anyone surviving to inform the Empire, which makes it tougher than the first season, where everyone who sees him doing it already knows who he is.

We also need the Untold Tale of Obi-Wan's shift manager at the meat factory and how he had to work a double shift when Old Ben up and quit without giving 2 weeks notice.

I'd be totally okay with season 2 if it's more in line with the ideas we threw around on the Obi-Wan thread, dealing with local dangers on Tatooine, communing with Qui-Gon, that sort of thing.

And for the love of God, him going back to that meat packing manager guy and smacking him upside the head.

Yeah, I mean let's be honest, if Ewan is putting the Jedi robes back on I'm going to watch it. And maybe if done right they could pull it off, I just worry that the story is going to feel too small.

If that's what they'd have gone for the whole time, then fine, but after this season? I just don't have much faith that they could pull that off with any skill at all.

I'm sure there is at least one person at Disney smart enough to figure this out, but this show name dropped Quinlan Vos on us. There is a potential story for Obi-Wan. Like mentioned, Reva could be trying to keep redeeming herself by helping the path and run into Quinlan. He has some big problem and she's like, "you know who could help?"

How about Quinlan Vos, who is always pretty damn sketch in the other media, has set himself up as some sort of cult leader for the Force on some other planet - perverting its power for his own ends somehow. Maybe even trying to raise an army of Force Sensitives in the dark side to take on the Empire.

Maybe even tie in The Path to that - they all think they're doing good, but they're actually funneling the Force Sensitives to him, and he's building an army. Obi-Wan could go to whatever planet he's on and have to take on a whole ton of Force sensitives. Maybe even put the thing on Dathomir and tie in the Night Sisters. I'd love to see them realized in live ation.

So in the end, Obi-Wan once again defeats Anakin but refuses to finish him. What the hell was even the point of this again? Everybody is literally in the exact same spot they were at the end of ROTS.

I was happy to see Ewan back in the role, but not at the expense of a near cannon breaking story that someone decided must be centered around young Leia.

Personally I would have smacked Beru around when she suggested staying (a man could get away with that as it was a long time ago) thrown her & Luke in the speeder and got the heck outta Dodge.
