If the Season 2 rumors are true, this will undoubtedly take place.

I wanted Obi Wan to meet Ashoka. I think that's allowed. We know she fights Vader and we know she's very much alive from both Rebels and Mando. So she can't get killed by Vader or anyone else. And we know from Rebels that she didn't hide from the Force. They could have used her to bring Obi Wan back to the Force.

Yeah but now... I dunno I'm already skeptical of a season 2 I guess.

I think if these two run into each other it almost has to be by chance right? I don't think they'd actively seek each other out.

You can do it through Rebels. She's in the resistance. High up. She knows all the Rebels and you have Maul and the mandalorian stuff from there. There are lots of paths there.

It always sounded to me like Ben was just an old man he occasionally saw around town and maybe interacted with here and there. We've now at least seen the initial introduction, which is cool.

It doesn't sound like Owen ever speaks about him much to Luke other than maybe as an old acquaintance of his.
I have always taken it that way, as well.

Problem is Obi Wan can't be all that involved in the nascent rebellion.

I mean it's definitely possible, and certainly scenes with those two talking about Anakin have some real potential, I'm just not sure how I'd get there from a plot mechanics standpoint.

LOL. If there's anything that I've learned from this, nothing is for certain with these shows.

I don't think Obi-Wan is gonna get involved in the rebellion. We know he basically tells Ezra "no." We also have him telling Leia, who is involved in the rebellion by like age 14 - just 4 years from this show, that it's too dangerous for them to talk and stuff. We also have Vader being told to drop it...so I don't even know if we get another season.

We certainly don't need one...but Disney probably will chase that money

I think I mentioned this a while back, but one thing that was hugely improved from this series is the ST with having Leia name her son Ben. That adds a whole extra layer of emotion right there.

I had never heard of the two dudes in the top video until I got into watching reactions from Mando S2E8, and man these 2 were one of my favorites so I'll definitely be checking these out.

They seem like the ultimate fanboys that you'd want to hang around

Reactors are a kind of super-influencer.

They're popularity and credibility is quickly approaching that of podcasters.

To be fair, I also don't get the point of watching reaction videos to stuff. Just seems so canned and extremely fake/amateur.

Wrestling - Nah not really
Survivor - Not in probably 20 years

I hope you could at least see the difference between those and the reaction vids.

The time cost alone is enough to turn me and I think a lot of people off of reaction videos. Much quicker to digest written discussion or reviews than to dedicate time to watch reaction videos that are more or less the same length as the original shows themselves. I just don't see the point. It's even less than watching other gamers play on Twitch or the like...when you do that you can see some nifty gameplay style or strategy and actually apply it yourself.

Just my lone opinion though, seems I may be in the minority on this thread with that viewpoint. I just have a at least a handful of other things at any one time that I would like to do with my free time than to watch reaction videos.

I think we're starting to confuse what "reactors" are. Van and Chuck (love them too) basically just discuss television/movies, after the fact, on a podcast. "Reactors," as I understand them, actually react to content in real time. So we're watching them watch something for the first time. That's not what The Midnight Boys do.

Then there are of course *nuclear* reactors, which…

Really have no idea where things will go, but if I had to guess, I think Obi-Wan and Reva will hatch some sort of plan for Reva to take Luke off-world and into her protection while Obi-Wan faces down Vader.

Is that the same staff Boba Fett had?

I think the one lesson learned we can all agree on is that if you come to TC's company with a script featuring shaky-cam footage, he will murder you in his own office.
And he will do it super easy, barely an inconvenience
My God, you magnificent genius! All this time I thought TC was Forty from "You", but he's definitely now that guy from Screen Rant.

I think it's fair to say at this point that some people are reactor detractors and some people are reactor attractors.

It really just depends on your threshold when it comes to the reactor factor.

Some people can handle just short videos. Others? You could use a reactor extractor and then haul them in on a reactor tractor and measure them with a reactor protractor and it still wouldn't be enough.

I don't know if we'll ever close this reactor chapter on TexAgs. It might even be the case that some of the reactor detractors will one day watch a video and then become reactor redactors.

Maybe even see a video looking over someone's shoulder in line at Starbucks and realize that quite accidentally they've become a reactor attractor by first becoming a reactor refractor.

The real question, related to Star Wars, is were their stormtroopers live streaming themselves as they watched Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewie try to escape the Death Star's prison level, thus turning the garbage pit into some sort of reactor compactor?

I avoided this thread for a couple of days since I wasn't going to be able to watch the final episode until last night. So a few thoughts - I am going to binge the entire series again to determine if I really liked it or not, but the final episode was fantastic.

Star Wars is fully of iconic imagery. I believe this episode added to that with the wide shot of Vader approaching OW on whatever planet that was, with the foreboding sky and dark rocky landscape. That duel was great. OW was a shell of the prequel Jedi we knew in the third? episode face-off against Vader, but here he was back in prequel form for the most part. I loved that Vader seemed to have his way with him, but then OW came back and did some literal damage to Vader. I reminded my wife while watching that OW was a true bad-ass in the prequels, defeating Maul and Grievous, holding his own against Jango Fett, diving out skyscraper windows, and besting his own apprentice (he only had issues with Dooku). I loved the dialogue between the two. "You didn't kill Anakin; I killed Anakin" and "Then my friend is truly dead." (I may not have all the wording exactly right, but that was the gist of it)

The callbacks, if that's what they're called, seemed to come very quickly at the end, but I loved all of them. Palpatine with an implied threat - perhaps you're too focused on your past, or some thing like that. Then seeing Force ghost Qui-Gonn. My favorite, though, was OW approaching Luke and saying, "Hello there."

And finally, at last, we get some freaking John Williams music. I suppose an earlier post was right, positing that Vader didn't become the OT Vader until this last episode, and the Imperial march was perfect for that scene between Vader and Palps. I do wish Duel of the Fates/Battle of the Heroes had been used during the Vader-OW duel. But the one that surprised me was Leia's theme right at the end when OW was saying his good-byes.

So a question - I think I read that there is another season for Obi-Wan, although I stand to be corrected. If there is, what could they possibly do with it?

I thought it was weird Obi Wan flew to Alderan at the end to see Leia for 5 minutes and then hopped back in his spaceship and flew away. He could have at least stayed for dinner or something. I do like the bond Obi formed with Leia in this series. Obi Wan ended up impacting both the kids lives.

And it has been a constant continuation that Disney cannot commit to killing off a character ever since.

I can't imagine a second season of this being any good, but that doesn't mean they won't go for it.

There would be practically no stakes at all. There weren't really stakes in this season but it didn't matter as much because we knew the season was building to a Vader/Obi Wan duel.

That and everything they had to create new for this show sucked and now you'd be trying to build everything new.
