I legit teared up when Laena was crying "Dracarys" to Vhagar. Just thinking about how we feel when we have to put our pets down... imagine how our pets would feel if it was the other way around.

True, last episode will be the immediate aftermath setting up next season.

If our dog (wife had him before we met) had the ability to immediately kill me I'd have been dead years ago.

This episode gave me stress and each episode I switch which team I'm on.

The real "shocker" and improbable scene was Clubfoot Larys murdering his brother and father so casually with zero consequences. This is especially in contrast to how he seemed to be friendly with his brother in prior episodes.

The plot showing consequences for some's reckless behavior (Harwin, Rhaenyra) and not others' (Christin Cole, Larys, Daemon) is not all cool with this viewer.

Hmmm ... I would say Larys and Daemon likely do suffer consequences. Their stories are not complete yet. And that is no spoiler I honestly don't know their fates.

As for Criston Cole. He was obviously lucky to be saved by the Queen who saw him as a useful tool. She knew he was no friend of Rhaenyra after how that played out killing the lover of her husband. She saved him literally from killing himself and likely from being killed by the king. So he is indebted to her. That is potentially useful for her. Part of the game. Machinations nothing else. His day will come I'm sure. At the behest of Allicent.

Aemond is the school shooter, Aegon is the one who gets suspended for peeping into the girls locker room

I could be wrong, but I feel like they were trying to give us the impression that she was able to make the dragon understand she was in pain and dying.

The dragon and it's rider are supposed to have a very close connection. It might have been able to tell.

I think that's the only the reason the dragon actually did it because it knew. It was showing reluctance not lack of understanding imo.

It was sad.

The dragons may be the most likable characters on the show.

Would have said the same thing about losing Robert Baratheon and Ned Stark in season 1 of GOT

Paddy is good, but I'm guessing he dies next episode. He's hanging on by a thread. He's a weak man and isn't putting his wife into her place; she's fomenting treason right under his nose.

So was that supposed to be how Harrenhal burned ? I thought it was burned by dragon fire during a war.

Margaery couldn't make it happen either…at least she tried

I do not think that is how Harrenhal burned and I agree, it was said to be dragons who burned it. When they sent Harwin to Harrenhal I thought maybe he would die in the future during a war where dragons go to Harrenhal and I was wondering if Rhaenyra might have been the one who did it.

It was already in ruin. Aegon the conqueror decimated it during his conquest. In the opening scene of episode 1, Jahaerys Great Council takes place in the ruined keep of harrenhal and you can see how crumbled/blasted it is.

However its still habitated by House Strong.

Just not digging it that much. I felt the dragon mother and failed birth scene, but overall i think the new actresses were not necessary or effective and the story just isnt maintaining my attention as it should.

It is all clearly about to blow up though.

They'd need Robert Baratheon's squire to stretch the breastplate so that fatty could wear it.

Very interesting dynamic developing.

We went from Alicent being an unwitting bad guy (a tool of a power hungry Hand) and Rhaenyra being on the good side, to Alicent seemingly being the good side. Sir Criston Cole thinks as much, as he knows the deal Rhaenyra tried to strike with him, and knows she is having illegitimate heirs to the iron thrown. At his core the man is honorable and loyal, and is trying to earn back his honor in his own mind. The fact that Alicent just had the Strong's scorched shifts her out of the side of good. Just took an interesting turn for sure.

I'm not sure that there is a "good side" in this story. Lyonel Strong seemed to be the only somewhat decent person in all of this, and he is now burnt toast.
