Isn't it a facepalm emoji?
Just a few years ago, I think when Obama had his pissy tantrum and shut down things like fly-overs, the CAF had a B-25 participate in a Kyle Field fly-over. They auctioned positions in the aircraft for those willing to bid on such a thing. The nose position, with that all plexiglass view, went for something like $5K.jkag89 said:
Quite a few B-25s were kept around after WWII for training purposes. It was a good aircraft to train new pilots in multiengine planes and also used for teaching of hands on navigation. My father has quite a few hours in the TB-25 (as they were designated after the War) in this role. The B-25 displayed in front of the terminal at Mitchell Field in Milwaukee was actually flown by by dad. He ferried it up from Texas in the late '50s for use by the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

I found Moore's use of the talk-to-the-hand emoji to be a traumatizing micro aggression that may very well take me days to recover from.
The are not mentioned by name. Are you trying to spark an international incident?Brian Earl Spilner said:
That said, I have zero memory of the main conflict of the movie, I just know it involves Russians.

And in 1999 it became the podrace in TPM.
I remember seeing that at every electronics store for years, especially with the rise of DVDs happening right at that time.
Jurassic Park and the T-Rex first appearance had taken some of the pie as well by that time
They all pale in comparison to the one true TV seller.TXAG 05 said:PatAg said:100%Brian Earl Spilner said:

Independence Day is the one I remember on all the tvs.
I missed this post. A miniseries is a great idea. Develops the characters more and the story. I think by default, we would be "in" WWII given the attempted attack. The ship is nuclear. So the tech is there. Just use what would be the Manhattan Project scientists and Einstein plus Nimitz crew to develop more. From there would we develop nuclear weapons? Make more jets etc., develop modern computing, the list goes on. Not to mention the medical advances that were on the ship. Our tech would jump astronomically in a very short time. WWII would be over in less than a year including in Europe. But what would be the world in this alternative universe become moving forward?jbanda said:
I feel like the movie didn't have the budget to actually show the attack. The Pearl Harbor attack scenes were just de-saturated shots from Tora Tora Tora.
You'd need a miniseries at minimum if they went through and sunk the Japanese fleet. You'd do that in the first ep and then the rest of the series would be the ramifications. US doesn't enter WW2? No atomic bombs? What happens to Europe?, what happens to the crew? and so forth.

I think the end is the only time he's recognizable. You get a lot of Merlin early on, but with helmet and mask.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Was that Tim Robbins celebrating at the end? Either that was his only appearance, or I completely missed him before that.

King Aragorn ("Strider"): Now you'll also be trained and evaluated by a few Elven specialists. The Elves are here because they are our very best source of information on Mordor. One of the most qualified is our ARWEN, callsign "Evenstar". She is the Lady of Rivendell and she's also an Undomiel, so you do not salute her. But you'd better listen to her because Lothlorien listens to her about your proficiency. It's all yours, Evenstar.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Apparently they shot over 800 hours of footage. (More than LOTR trilogy.)
