Sorry if I'm late to the party, but what's going on with the scoreboard? Are they repainting it or is is covered with something? Kind of hard to tell in that picture taken from the suite.

The net looks AWESOME. I'm going to miss the old one not at all.
They took almost all the old advertising signs off (covered the others) and put on a fresh coat of maroon, on the front and back.
glad to see them working in the rain...maybe they will work faster so they don't have to be in it. (watching construction cam while at work...)

Holy crap, didn't even notice the netting until y'all said something about it! Small part of the upgrade that will make a huge difference.
Out in the parking lot right now. 3rd base side: brick is about 10 feet from the top of the arches. To the left of that it looks like it is just the white cap stone left. The middle/entryway is above the arches and is to the white stone level that is the floor level of the suites. To the right of that the are done on the closed arches part. You can see it on the construction cam. Between that and the baseball ops building the are working on the arches.
EDIT: I'm out in the outfield now. The only things I notice are: the railing is up in front of the dugouts that the players will lean on. And they are laying some different type of dirt on the 3rd base berm. It is much darker than what was already put down.

I don't think the lower level railing was replaced just the chain link that covered it.

Check out Mason's pics above. The first base side is just a little behind the third base side.
true. but that still doesn't answer my question. also from the 1st base side, we can see berm progress and possibly catch some outfield practices online

its a little late for that, i've wondered all along why there wasn't one for 1st, 3rd, and one from outfield. We are A&M!
strap it to a pole! they're a construction crew, i'm sure they can whip something up in like 5 minutes. and yes, after they finish the outside, they should throw it on the centerfield stand and show the inside construction

No sorry. I am not going out every day. If you look at the construction cam you can see they haven't moved that much on the brick. The only thing that I could possibly see changing if we had a shot from the outfield would be glass on the press box and seats on the second deck. The grass should be going in soon on the berms too. If someone is going to the basketball game tonight maybe they can grab a picture. But I don't know what has been done in just one day.

You've never worked on a commerical construction project.
The GC generally doesn't have easy access to a pole without going out to buy one. In today's market, there is 0 margin on projects, they're not going to pay for one out of pocket.
The GC would have to ask a sub to do it, and the sub wouldn't want to do it without a change order.
Aren't the lights on poles?

Darker dirt is most likely top soil for the sod. I hope the architect allowed for at least six inches on that slope as it will be really dry.

Nobody has said it will be fully done. There will be parking, seats, and bathrooms. There will also be a field and two teams with bats, balls, and gloves. Oh and a few players and fans. What more do we need? The rest will come in due time.
I will be there to tip my hard hat to Saw Dog and Hammer!
