I'm parked at Olsen and almost all the brick is up! The center part only has about 5-6 ft left while both ends only have the last 2 ft of cap stone. They do still have two columns left on the part that is over the roof of the baseball ops building. They have put up the lights here on the outside frontside. Two of the three entrance arches are done. They still have the stair steps left to put in.
Parked in aggie alley now. They have installed the windows on the press box! Yes they are collapsible. That is cool to see.
If you didn't read Bill Byrne's Wednesday Weekly he said starting Saturday the will turn on the lights at Olsen for a 100 hour burn in. They will stay on until opening day is finished.

Looks to me like the railing is there because the floor of row one is the same heighth as the top of the dugout. There would not be anything in front of thos people if there was no rail. That would freak me out as a patron.

Yes, it no longer looks like there is going to be a step up from the aisle of what used to be row 2 to the top of the dugout. The fencing is now on the back of the dugout also. This greatly concerns me because our seats are in what is now section 111 and it looks like there is only one in/out for the row. Several of the people who have sat down the line from me will have great difficulty reaching their seats due to their age unless their is more space down the aisle than their used to be.
On the plus side since kids won't be able to move to congregate for the t-shirt toss they will have a playground in the outfield.

If already discussed please forgive me...if you look down the 3rd base line in Mason's top photo above count down to the 7th arch. The brick looks to be a different color from the 7th arch down as opposed to the brick arches 1 thru 6. Maybe it has to do with when it was put up and one part still needs to "dry" the same. Anyone else see what I am talking about. TIA
I saw that on the other side yesterday when I drove by. My guess, which could be completely wrong, is that they haven't cleaned the mortar up.
They have not washed the brick around that arch. Apparently there is a large crew of men doing nothing but washing the brick!
I know I'm beating a dead horse but when are they going to start putting in the bleachers on the second deck?
I guess they feel they can do it in 2 or 3 days with a lot of guys.
When you think about it it should be easier.
Another dead horse is when are they going to use a mower or weed eater behind the outfield walls?
My last dead horse revolves around the open disregard for public safety by the construction crews.
There are clearly signs up everywhere that say "No Scaffolds Permitted."
I guess they feel they can do it in 2 or 3 days with a lot of guys.

They are done with the front entrance arches. And masonry above them. They are still working on the stair/elevator shafts. The front stairs isn't in but it looks like they are cleaning the slab part to be ready. They have probably poured 50% or more of the side walks! There is a crane here and I saw it lift one industrial air conditioning unit so far. And the 3rd base side of masonry is done!
For some reason there are big tents in the parking lot between the softball field and the baseball ops/temp buildings. They are the circus/firework stand type tents. Capt Dan???
In aggie alley. They have worked on the score board putting new advertising signs on. Capt Dan sent me a picture I will post when I get home. I noticed that they put new aTm flags on the small polls. To the person complaining about the weeds out here. Most of it has become mud from the lifts and trucks that have driven along the fence line, but there are still some weeds on the wall. They have knocked out the masonry on the columns that are on the roof of the baseball ops building. They are still working on the suite windows. Still no bleachers/chairs on second deck.
I believe tents are for opening day ceremonies. Not sure.
Upper deck seats arrive Monday. They promise they can get them installed.
Cabinets and flooring going down in the suites.
Restrooms have stalls for you guys that were worried.

Dan I just want to say that I appreciate all the info on the construction progress and to Mason for the photos. Really has been fun to watch it all go up.
