I have a couple of pictures taken last week from Olsen but cannot figure out how to post them. Can someone out there please give me directions on posting pictures.

Flickr is a free image-hosting site, and it's really easy to set up. Upload your pictures there and post links since you can't post pics.

I am parked out here right now and they have hung the wires for the net. The railing is up all around the berms. The glass is installed in the two suites on the 1st base side of the press box. They have covered the bottoms of the camera decks on both sides and in front of the press box. If I notice anything else I will post it when I post the pictures.

last time I checked it was still 90 feet to first. if anything, there will be more offense as players become more accustomed to the composite bats

Will they eventually change out the railings on the top deck to match the rest? Looks kind of odd.

Hey, thanks to any and all of you who are taking and posting the pics. There's a ton of us out here in the Aggiecyber universe who are watching and appreciate them VERY much!

It's really coming together, and will be a source of pride for all of us for many years to come.


If there's a nicer college baseball venue it would come as a huge surprise.

Perhaps they could add insets to the top railings to coordinate with the lower ones or would it just be easier to replace them?

So in a project like this is brick the largest expense?

How much is brick?

I would imagine on this scale for this quantity, we are getting a pretty sweet deal on the brick.

The brick maker proabably had to set up the line for these color bricks alone for atleast a couple weeks.

Thus it becomes less expensive because the set up and the materials do not have to change.

Channel 4 will probably let him go for the price of a few lamps and bail on a murder charge.

...Sport might be a little torn up, though.

It blows my mind that they are going to have this all completed by 2/17. WOW!!! Going to be an awesome stadium and game experience.

Brick's asking price is surprisingly low. Just get him some ice cream and a nice pair of slacks.

Mason, thank you for all the great pics and updates the past 6+ months. What is your story? (what's your major, when do u graduate, what's your connection to the project, etc )

I graduated back in December of 2010 but I am class of 2012. I have been unemployed since then. I have been trying to get into law enforcement. I earned an associate degree in criminal justice while still in high school. I got to A&M and didn't make the 3.0 for upper level business. I ended up getting a degree in University Studies with a concentration in Business and minored in Urban and Regional Planning and also minored in Geoinformatics.

After a year of trying to get someone to send me through the police academy I am putting myself through TEEX Central Texas Police Academy out at the A&M Riverside campus. That starts next week.

After paying for the academy and all my equipment I don't have much money left, so if anyone ever has an extra ticket to a baseball game let me know. I hope to make as many games possible as time and money will allow.

Edit: no connection to the project. I am just a baseball fan and I find construction somewhat interesting. Luckily Capt Dan sent me an email one day asking if I would like a tour. Had he not done that we would've just had outside pictures.

I really didn't realize it till seeing that picture but man are they losing a ton of seats on the second deck for those suites and new press box. How many rows of seating are left on the second deck now?

I will admit though initially I wasn't a fan of that brick but seening the more recent pictures I am becoming a fan.... starting to look really good now.

They aren't losing as much as you might think. The original 16 rows are still there down the lines. I think the deepest cut is in front of the suits, where there are only 8 rows. Even before the renovation, I think there were only 11 rows in front of the extended press deck, and a portion of a couple of rows was taken out for the camera stand behind home plate. They you had overflow press seating either side of the press box, and the seldom used camera platform at the top of the stands along the 3rd base side.

I tried to find a picture that showed the row count but couldn't really find a good one. These two are the best that I have.

oh my, with the new field seats, wild pitches and passed balls aren't going to be the automatic run in from 3rd base like they used to be (when the ball rolled all the way to the backstop). Going to have some plays at the plate, even moreso with the brick wall
