Riffs,

I went through with it and then did the quest after it, and so far it hasn't had any kind of affect on anything I do. I haven't continued the companions since that point though..the next place is far away and i'm really lazy.

The whole companion quest line is pretty brief, so that transformation isn't that big of a deal. If you want, at the end of the quest, you can revert back. However you cant advance until you do that quest.

I found a semi-infinite supply of steel arrows in Riften. A member of the Thieves Guild will occasionally endlessly shoot a target with them and will allow you to pick them off the target. Win.

It's a small thing, but I like that you can name crafted weapons...made a greatsword and named it "Von", choppin fools left and right.

Often pickaxes can be found near ore deposits in caves/dungeons. Look around on the ground.

I haven't even tackled the actual quest related to the drinking game. After I woke up in Markarth, there were so many new places to explore and additional side quests to complete that I forgot all about A Night to Remember. There's just so much to do under the city that I haven't even thought about leaving yet.

Managed to kill a giant finally last night.... that felt good. Was sick of running from those suckers!

Anyone else having issues with seeing a dragon flying around above but not being able to get him to come down? Must... kill... dragons!

Call me crazy, but I havn't done ANY city quests (except the main Whiterun quest). I've really just been killing bandit camps and diving into each cave I find. Been some AWESOME stories along the way.

Most memorable was the "Haunted Barrow" in some small village- where a ghost shows up at night and scares off all the townfolk. Prety cool twist to the story I won't ruin, but it's definitely worth playing.

Level 29, maxed smithing, dragon armor, and have yet to touch the main quest outside of the initial dragon encounter.

I don't know why but I get obsessed with finishing every quest at a single city before I let myself move onto the next.

Amazing game that is keeping me up wayyy too late at night.

Intercooled, what's your strategy for maxing out smithing? Is it better to make a few high quality pieces of armor, or a whole bunch of cheap stuff (like a ton of leather bracers?) Right now I can only make Dwarven & Elven armor, the Elven stuff has a good armor to weight ratio.

If you build your heavy armor rating up to 70, that armor/weight ratio doesn't matter anymore.
