Had a random goof in the game I wanted to share.......

So I go into this orc mine to try and mine as much ore as possible before they get real pissed at me for being there and kick my ass....and right after I exit and im outside, I freak out cause I turn to my left, and there's a friekin dragon there waiting for me right next to the door.....

Course, I get ready to shoot some flames up it's arse when the thing starts to slowly disintegrate right before my eyes and I absorb its soul.....

I guess the orc castle near me did all the work while I was inside stealing their ****

Worst thing I ever encountered coming out of a door was a giant and his two mammoths fighting a dragon fighting a bunch of Forsworn - all in the courtyard of a broken-down castle.

Got a little hairy for a few moments.

I've had a dragon chase me into a town, drawing all the guards and a couple of civilians with weapons Into the fight with me. During the fight a citizen must have hit a guard accidentally because after the dragon died, they started a 2 citizens vs 3 or 4 guards vs 1 citizen (he just attacked everybody) type of war. I ended up helping the crazy guy cause I thought he was a badass. This happened in one of the cities that doesn't require a loading screen to get in to, but I don't remember what the name was.

A weird one happened to me a day or two ago. I was fighting a dragon on one of the lookouts and I shot him with an arrow to kill him right as he started his take off animation. He flew up, made a few circles and then flew off.

I chalked it up as a loss and went down the mountain, after a few minutes of walking the ******* crash landed in front of me and went through the dying animation but never burned up or gave up a soul.

Have any of you don't the enchanting trick to supercharge your gear?

Yeah, but that takes all of the challenge out of the game.

To cure the werewolf disease or not...

I never did, but I didn't use the powers either.

Just liked the fact that I COULD transform and galavant around the countryside murdering small animals and random hunting parties if I wanted to.

True true. I was just concerned about not receiving resting bonuses and if they were worth it or not.

I use the Lover Stone so I get the rested bonuses either way, but I cured the werewolf thing because I didn't want to have it. Plus, I can already roam around the countryside slaughtering small animals and hunting parties.

Two nights ago I walked off the end of Skyrim and fell into an eternal ocean of nothingness.

In the lower right hand part of the map beyond Riften you can walk up this canyon trail. You come to a wooden archway. There was a lone wood elf with a horse standing there which is weird because I've almost never seen a wood elf in the environments of the game.

Killed her, stole her horse and jogged through the archway and then ran forever down the canyon. The further you go the less detailed the map gets so you can tell the coders stopped coding details and then evenutally you run off the edge of the map and fall into an ocean. I swam out aways but there is nothing out there. Swam back and then suddenly my horse jumps out of the ocean on his own and I'm back on the edge of Skyrim. My NPC partern refused to follow me through the archway but was still there when I got back.

I'm guessing you are on the pc?

I tried going through that gate but it wouldn't let me. I assumed that there'll be some DLC that opens it up.

If I'm at the same place you were, then I can't do it. There was a Breton (literally their name was "Breton" not a usual character name. He attacked me and I took his horse but it haut keeps saying you cannot go that way, turn back. I will say that the archway as mostly stone with a wood roof so I may be somewhere different....

Actually that sounds right. Probably just a bug in mine that let me through.

Such an amazing game. I love hearing about other people's adventures while playing the game.

How is Dragonborn turning out to those who have it? I haven't played in probably close to 6 months but will jump on on my day off.

Post-call days were meant for Skyrim. Is it lame that I still enjoy this game over a year after its release?

Welp, I've beat the game. Nowhere near finishing it though. Legendary dragonscale armor + legendary daedric weapons + everything double enchanted including necklace and ring of magic resist and regen and I'm pretty much invincible... which I actually like, because I can pay more attention to the detail and depth as opposed to always worrying about dying. I HATE redoing things.

Finding the *%^%( crimson nirnroot just about drove me crazy. Now working on the crown of barenziah.

So, I'm just now doing the Companions quests. Aelga has asked me to clear out a snow bear bothering some lady in Solitude. Kinda weird that a snow bear is in Solitude but i figure its really a house outside the gates that I've missed or something. On my way, I think to myself that ill kill 2 birds with one stone by stopping by my newly built manor via the the Hearthfire add on and add beds so I can move my wife and 2 sons from Solitude to the manor. Thus, I'll kill bear in Solitude and afterwards move my family back to manor. Perfect.

I build beds and go on to Solitude. After i get there and jog towards the quest arrow I get a sinking feeling in my stomach because the arrow is actually over Proudspire Manor for some reason. "WTF"... I think. I enter my home and as soon as the screen loads up my 2 sons come running out of the stairwell screaming and I hear a snow bear going crazy upstairs. I go upstairs and this snow bear has somehow not only gotten inside Solitude, but inside my house and up to the second floor where he has killed my wife outside of our bedroom.

That poor, poor woman thought she was safe and sound inside the most heavily fortified city in Skyrim and yet shes mauled by a bear in her own home. I hope Hror and Francis (or whatever my sons names are) are resourceful because I've ditched them and won't be coming back. It's too painful.

Random question...so I'm finally diving into this game. I have it on PC. Any necessary mods I should look into before I get started? I already have SkyUI but that's it so far.

Yes, I could. I'm going to see how far back I have saves but if there is too much time in between I don't want to have to redo a bunch of stuff. I will probably just accept the will of whichever Skyrim god is over such a thing and move on.

Lol... damn skyrim.

Now been out for a year and a half and I STILL enjoy starting a new character and having adventures that are different from the last play through.

Ok so I have a random question. At one point in my exploring I came upon a clearing. On the far end of the clearing there was some kind of monument with a Dragon perched on top. When you approach the monument he starts flying around and engages you. Also there is some sort of spirit/magic user dude that appears and attacks you. I want to say this is up in the mountains somewhere. When I came across it I was a low level and the dude was kicking my a**. I would like to find this again and give him some payback. Anybody else know about this area? Where is it? Been trying to find it without success...
