I would say yes. I think They could have charged $5 less, but it seems like everybody is charging more for dlc these days.

As for the actual content I'm enjoying it a lot. Without giving away too many spoilers I'll tell you that there is eventually a quest split with the vampires. Essentially you decide whether you want to join them or not and you have to choose a side, so I left a save right before the spot and I'm going to go back and pick the other path once I've finished the side I'm currently on. So there is some replay ability and it just adds more quests for you to do if you do decide to go back and play both sides. It adds in some cool new weapons (like the crossbow), armor, and even creatures to fight. All in all, I would recommend it, I stopped playing a few months ago and this has successfully sucked me back in to playing it almost everyday.

Is playing the main quest line worth it? Because I have wasted about 30 hrs just walking around.

I played around 30-40 hours just exploring and getting into trouble before I bothered with the main line. SO glad I decided to follow the main story line eventually once I came back to the game, it has some really cool moments in it and at the end I was like "man, can't believe I didn't go do this sooner".

Went into dead man's cave or something, fought a king or something, pretty sweet little unintended quest. I was going in just to see what was going on and got sucked in.

Restarted again yesterday. Been awhile since I played this game. Forgotten how awesome it was. Picking up Dawnguard in a coupla weeks when some of the bugs are worked out.

Could someone please explain the "arrow to the knee" reference? I remember some random character saying, "...then I took an arrow to the knee." but, I don't get it.

Anyone care to explain?

You must have only played for 10 minutes then, because about every 3rd guard you pass says it.

Really? I don't spend a lot of time talking to Imperials for 2 reasons:

1) I'm a Stormcloak - so the Legion can suck it.
2) No Imperial says anything of importance.

Is that the joke? Just that the guards say it a lot?

I was on holiday in Falkreth when this one Stormcloak wannabe started harping about repetition and then made some guards mad. Next thing I know I took an arrow to the knee.

Just started Dawn Guard on my main toon (sneaky archer). Joining the Dawn Guard for the first play through then going to be a vamp on my other one later.

I've got to say, even after 9 months of playing this game, I am always amazed at how beautiful it is. Every seen I find myself in is just spectacular. Whether it's looking out over a waterfall to the valley below or fighting a dragon on top of mountain in a blizzard or just strolling through the woods in the rift. I could literally play this game forever.

Kind of wish they weren't doing an MMO and would just work on the next installment for the next generation. I say base it in Summerset Isle as it is supposed to have the most breathtaking city in tamriel. The only problem I see with future Elder Scrolls games is the Shout issue. Everyone would be so used to the awesomeness of shouts and how useful they are in various circumstances. Any future game without them would just seem to not be as cool, lol.

EDIT: Hell...I would love for someone to just remake Morrowind and Oblivion with Skyrim's engine.

Started playing the game again recently. I finished up the major guild quests (Mage's college, Thieves guild, Dark Brotherhood) and the main storyline, so I bought Dawnguard and just started it.

I love archery so much and I love that Dawnguard introduced the ability to craft arrows. Crafting arrows should have been in from the start because getting together a large collection of later arrows (glass, ebony and daedric) was near impossible without making daily stops at all the archery shops and blacksmiths. I think I still only had two deadric arrows when I bought Dawnguard. I now have 100.

I have an improved Dragonbone bow that does beast work and with the ability to craft arrows (and TONS of dragon bone and scales saved up) I have 1,100 dragonbone arrows.

55 hours in and I still havent gone and talked to the greybeards yet. As soon as I was able to, I chose a random direction and took off....Haven't looked back yet.

I was randomly (I thought) exploring a cave last week and advanced the main quest (I think it's the main quest).

Working through dawnguard now and then maybe will do the main quest.

Yeah...I love just facing a direction and walking.

I decided to explore the area around Falkreath, an area I really hadn't yet, and was pleasantly surprised to run across Hircine's quest. For those out there who ever played Bloodmoon (Morrowind expansion), you know how freaking excited I was when I got that reward.

New DLC details released today. You'll get to play house with wife, kids, the whole bit.

In fact that's about all you'll get. 400 points for the ability to purchase land, build a house, and "live" in it.

The only appealing part of it for me is having enough weapon displays to show off my extensive bow collection.
Thunder18
How long do you want to ignore this user?
i already own all the houses i can and still dont have enough room to display all my cool ****... unless i can build a mcmansion with 4 rooms solely for weapon display then i might consider it

I think either werewolf or vampirism. Pull up the magic menu and there is a status section where you can view all of your current buffs/debuffs.

Could be any type of disease ( I often got rockjoint if I remember right) just find an altar to pray at and receive the blessings and you will be good to go. Or if you have a cure disease potion drink that. I always thought that was a cool feature that the AI was smart enough to recognize different stuff about you in this game. Definitely one of my all time favorite games

BQwolf: Those engine mods would require their own entire thread. Apparently the Morroblivion one is functional(Though not without its fair share of bugs, which should be expected). The Skywind mod will take a long time before it is even playable. I believe it is an entire community that does those.

I have yet to try Morroblivion, but I really need to. The ONLY thing preventing me from playing Morrowind is the engine. And it's not just the graphics, it's the combat and such that is so bad.

December 4th is the release date. As a lifelong Elder Scrolls fan, the fact that this expansion is in Solstheim is so freaking amazing.

I will be buying the second it comes out.
