Absolutely amazing. Already engaged in a rebellion. Story is already engrossing, graphics are stunning, combat system outstanding, item and misc. menus easy to use and navigate, and if you are familiar with the other Elder Scrolls, there is no learning curve really when it comes to the UI and controls. I am blown away after only an hrs worth of play. Goodbye November...and December to...

I'm not sure how much I'm liking that aspect. It feels like I'm playing a console game that was ported to PC when I'm using their menu system, and I think that may have been what their primary intention was this time around.

You guys are way worse than Leonard. The last two threads he has been called out on have been ridiculous. He is trolling because he said he wishes the game was not designed to be played in 1st person? I like the 1st person view. Remember Morrowind's 3rd person view animations? Even Oblivions were laughable. 3rd person is only good for admiring your guy's armor.

You might consider taking a break from the computer for a while, you are clearly worked up about this to the point that it's probably not good for your health. The guy posted a valid comment about an aspect of the game he wishes were different and you come flying in ripping off insults. Any person on texags not going by the name of Leonard H could have posted the exact same comment verbatim and you would have had 0 reaction. Probably would never have even posted in this thread. Anyone played this on a console? Which one would be better? I have a new laptop but it is really not set up for gaming, just the Intel 3000 graphics. 8 gigs of RAM and i5.

Or just go buy it. It is so vastly improved over Oblivion in all categories it isn't even funny. And I heart Oblivion to death. Right now this game can do no wrong in my eyes.

And I'm running an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4 gig quadcore processor with a geforce GTX 460 VC with 24 gigs of RAM. This game has pushed my rig further than any other one out there but it still handles perfectly.

Goodness I hope so.

I had the unfortunate experience of playing Fallout 3 (a fantastic game) BEFORE Oblivion.

Thus the flaws in Oblivion really stuck out. Awful combat, ATROCIOUS leveling system, Uninspired quests, terrible graphics (as compared to Fallout 3).

Fallout 3 had decent combat, interesting world, more interesting quests than Oblivion.

It does seem like Skyrim has learned from both Oblivion and Fallout 3 and looks to be a great game. It is sitting here at my desk right now...I will be playing this evening.

I need a break after (and still currently playing) Dark Souls. That game is a beast in every awesome way you can imagine.

It's funny Tex17-- because I hated fallout and loved Oblivion. When in Rome.

I'm looking forward to this one- picking up my copy at gamestop this evening. I preordered on PC, but I think I might make the switch to PS3- I'm not confident my PC can run it with confidence. My build is 3-4 years old.

Ha, that is funny. To each their own.

I did love Morrowind though, so Oblivion was doomed from the start for me. But come on. The leveling in Oblivion was gawd-awful terrible.

I hear it runs pretty well on the ps3.
