Since there are around 5 or 6 possible followers (that I've found so far), are some of them better then others? In other words, do they all have equal health and equal space to carry things and equal attack strengths?
Just spent 4 hours yesterday doing nothing but working on leveling enchanting and alchemy. Got them both to the high 90s, and almost ready to make some sick nasty gear.
Also finished up the Thieves' Guild line which was a blast and much longer than I expected.

Thieves Guild was the first major line I completed. Gonna be hard for the others to top it. I'm already kind of let down by the Dark Brotherhood. Very un-menacing once you actually get in.
Reading this thread and having to wait for this game until Christmas is difficult.

I haven't quite finished the Thieves Guild questline. I stopped a quest short because I like the item I have. Is there any advantage to finishing it other than the sake of completion?

Ah fook me, I'm an idiot! The patch must have fouled the most recent save. I loaded from the 2nd most recent and it's fine.

Def worth finishing, and the final quest is shorter than some of the previous ones.
Damn, that girl is nails. I hope someone patches that into the Bard's soundfile.
Is there a reason to cook? It's not a skill and it seems if I focus on creating potions I can get more benefits and increase an actual skill at the same time.

I guess I'll google what happens, then. I kinda like the skeleton key knowing that I'll never break another lockpick.
Lockpicking is easy anyways. Some of the gear you get for finishing the quest is pretty sweet.
I'm on my second play through. I think I rushed through the main story line too fast the first time and missed a ton of stuff. I also found out that there are plenty of quests that will either get bugged or won't start after finishing the Dragonborn quest line.
I'm also going to try to incorporate more magic into my fighting as I heavily relied on hand and archery combat the first time through.

Anyone read any of The Lusty Argonian Maid books? Found one in Riften. Pretty hilarious.
I want to say that they've copy and pasted that same Lusty Argonian Maid chapters in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.

It's not very hard when you're a level 40+ and can sneak up and slit everyone's throats
found a 'master necromancer' that was just one shotting me instantly. I'll come back when I'm not level 13.
also: not getting anything 'done' on the main quest/companion/college/thieves/brotherhood/bard's guild cause I'm just finding hundreds of mini-side quests and shrines, and talking dogs that offer me cool quests.

Absolutely loaded with loot. Made it through everything pretty easily, but there's a mechanism at the end that I couldn't operate yet.
I came across that Master Necromancer as well....almost died like 5 times. Thank god for my two summoned Dremora Lords.
Well, turns out two different quests ate supposed to lead me there. Find a book, find azuras star.
level 59 destruction with three perks saved up... so close!
I found a word wall before getting to the shout part of the main story line (greybeards). Now I have 3 dragon souls and that first shout is still not active. Did I screw the pooch by getting a shout before seeing the graybeards? Is this a bug of some sort? Oh and it's "Kayne's Peace" shout.
EDIT - Ok, I'm an idiot. You have to 'unlock' the shouts. All is well.

Did they release a patch recently that completely broke dragons? I swear I found one that is flying around backwards, stops, stalls, warps around the sky, looks like it is being tossed around by it's wing, etc.
Also: beginning to stockpile a bunch if daedric artifacts.

yes - patch broke dragon, will be a fix out next week.

Why is it such a freaking hard decision on whether to join the Empire or the Stormcloaks?? I haven't heard both sides of the debate in game yet, but I feel like I need to decide early on in the game (like now). I'm a High Elf so it seems like I should side with the Empire (seems like they are a puppet gov. of the elves) but the Rebel story line sounds more fun.
Can anyone give me some details on what's going on with this?
