Thoughts on followers? I'm tired of Lydia. I'm thinking of getting a mage and apparently J'Zargo is the only character that can level up to 81. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Follower_(Skyrim)
But I wonder if y'all think some are better than others or if it really doesn't matter.
Also, there appears to be a work around for forcing a follower to level up to where you are (since they are stuck at the level you are when you first encounter them).
Not sure how to check if this works since you can't see their stats.

The only way to fix this is to use console commands on the PC ("disable" then "enable" the character while they are not in your party), or use Wabbajack to turn them into a mudcrab/goat/etc, then rehire them when they change back. This resets their stats to the current player level, and also does not appear to reset their inventory or quest scripting (although you will need to take an item from their inventory and put it back to get them to re-equip any non-default equipment you've given them). However, it has no effect if they are currently in your party.
