Well, they lost to GB last year 48-32. SO yeah, a better defense might actually have mattered.Goldie Wilson said:Yup. Dak is just an all-time great defense away from being able advance past the divisional roundjtkk said:Very true. Just look at Trent Dilfer. But then again the Ravens defense was stout as hell.Definitely Not A Cop said:jtkk said:I sometimes think this time of year wouldn't always be the offseason if it wasn't for Dak.FightinFarrier18 said:
It wouldn't be the offseason without the annual Dak argument
I really like the guy as a person and I think he's a stand up kind of guy but, man, I'm starting to seriously doubt he can take the team to the promised land.
My benchmark for whether a QB can take a team to the promised land is Rex Grossman. I think Dak is better than Rex Grossman.
you think a ghey QB would do well in the pros?toucan82 said:

Troy Aikman talking about the Cowboys head coaching job on ESPN: "I thought Mike McCarthy would be the head coach, so this is a bit of a surprise for me today that he's not going to be. And what went into those conversations, I'm not exactly sure. But it suggests that there's not…

Dan Campbell only had 91 catches in his whole career. Jason Whitten had more than that in like 10 different seasons probably. Which one do you think knows more about football? Lol

Yea that's not how any of this works…. Other wise every great players would be a head coach in the nfl. It's very rare that it ever translates to great coaching.
This is a very solid and generally overlooked sports pointCity Dumme said:

This is a phrase I never thought I'd hear associated with Witten. He's my all time favorite Cowboys so I am not hating, just he never lit up the highlight reel outside of catching EVERYTHING in his vicinity and for running without a helmet against the eaglesTxhuntr said:

I guess ya'll have never heard of a tight end named none other than Mike Ditka. He did pretty good at coaching if I am remembering it right. But I'm sure you guys know more about coaching than he does.

Cowboys announce they're interviewing Robert Saleh
Ditka was not a great coach. Good but not great. His overall record was 121-95 a .560 winning pct%. He won his only Super Bowl because the Bears Defense was run by Buddy Ryan. After Ryan left the Bears never made another Super Bowl.City Dumme said:

Jerry is going to hire Moore and it will just be another horrible hire.
Helluva a deal for a guy who just put up his first above-average season. Feels very Ryan Fitzpatrick. I wonder if there are outs if he regresses back to his mean from years past?Agristotle said:
