Weird game. Dak was fantastic for 95% of the game, but that 5% was BAD. The TD throw at the end was great, but Dak's POTG was diving on the ball after the fumble at the goal line. You won't see many QBs doing that.

Offense looked really good overall, with 4 notable exceptions. 2 fumbles and 2 INTs. Ceedee continues to take plays off and pout on the sidelines. Dowdle looked great until the fumble. Ferg needs to get more targets, he looks like he could be Kelce 2.0.

Defense looked good, but the Steelers offense is pretty mediocre so I'm not going to read too much into it. The backup D line play with some fire that's missing from the starters. Dono and Overshown continue to hit people. Honorable mention to buddy Johnson for 2 massive hits on kickoff.

Mike McCarthy is a dumbass. Not only did Tomlin coach circles around him, he outcoached himself. Bad game management, bad challenges, and bad situational football. Most notably taking an unnecessary shot that leads to an INT when you need a long TD drive that chews a lot of clock

What a difference a season makes. Dallas is 0-2 at home and now 3-0 on the road. Last year it was the complete opposite.

Not sure how we find a W next week against the Lions with all the injuries. Need to tread water till the bye when we get some horses back.

I think the recipe needs to be similar to yesterday's…Target Hutchinson's side of the ball and throw quick hitters to that side…

Not sure what got into the defense yesterday, but seemed like they played harder with all of the injuries, so figure out a way to keep that up…

Just saying... that was the exact same type of game that KC has played every week this year. Sloppy plays and/or bad turnovers mixed in with some great plays. Defense keeps it close and Mahomes delivers in the end.

That's exactly what Dak & the Cowboys did last night. This early in the season, just win baby!

LOL. That's awesome!

But I can honestly say that was not me last night. After the Ags dominated Mizzu and one of the best college football Saturdays of all time... I was all good watching Dallas last night. I was definitely critical of them but my emotional football tank was full since about 11:45 on Saturday!

That game definitely didn't fill me with a ton of joy or optimism, especially with the amount of injuries that we have now, but it was nice for them to finally go "hey, ya know Rico Dowdle is the best RB we've got, lets give him most of the touches" and for the defense to show some backbone down Micah.

I actually felt like the game solidified the notion that Micah should go back to his old role and not worry so much about making him an edge rusher…

We are deep into the depth chart on edge rushers now, and they did just fine…

Go back to moving Micah around to different spots…he's harder to block like that…

I have wanted Parsons to play off the ball for over a year now. He can't hold up for a full season on the edge

The goal at this point is to hover around .500 until you get everyone back by around mid-November, then make a run with the soft back third of the schedule. By seasons end if we're healthy and the rookies develop this can be a good team come playoff time.

4-6 weeks. Torn meniscus... but that's considered lucky. Very much looked like a season ending knee injury. That would have sucked because he would have also lost the offseason as well.

Just keep winning right now and maybe we can get healthy and have the chance to make a playoff run.

With this team / coaching staff, the playoff positioning doesn't matter. We just need to get in and somehow get hot.

We had the best playoff positioning we've had since our last Super Bowl last year and we got trucked. We were down 28-0 at some point against a team that hardly any of us took seriously because of their record and they were the youngest team in the league.

After a game like the above, I don't really worry about home field or any of that crap. Just get in and play hard.

The irony is we had a long home win streak going so it seemed like a big deal. Now this season we haven't won at home and sit undefeated on the road. Go figure

You're totally right. That game changed my thinking on the playoffs tho. It's mainly about whose playing good football at the right time.

This is true with respect to the wild card and to a lesser extent the divisional rounds, but overall the best regular season teams are still overwhelmingly the group from which Super Bowl teams emerge. In the last 25 seasons, of the 50 teams that made it to the SB 39 of them were one of the top two betting favorites from their respective conference going into the postseason.

I'm assuming 2007, 2016, and 2023 cowboys are 3 of the 11.

Awful game by both teams Sunday night. Pittsburgh was awefuller…

And comparing 5-0 KC to 3-2 Dallas is just silly.

We mostly went up and down the field on a really good defense. They were tops in the league in passing defense I believe... well, they WERE, because Dallas put up 336 in the air and 445 overall on them and they aren't anymore!

The turnovers were bad, but that happens in the NFL. Our defense is an injury mess right now (missing 2 All Pros and 1 Pro Bowler) and yet we shut them down.

It's OK to be positive after a win. Nobody was sugar coating anything after our week 2 & 3 debacles!

One difference is that the Chiefs with their skill players injured not only went out and found a back up RB (Hunt) and changed their offense to deal with their injuries to the point of playing smash-mouth football, sometimes with 4 TEs in the game at once. Imagine if the Cowboys would have signed Derrick Henry? You have to pay to win in this league.

I do agree that Dallas has adjusted their defense to stop the run, but they really need to be more proactive and adjust throughout the season with their continued injuries.

17 games schedule is going to have ups and downs and adapting to injuries is more key than ever. Chiefs have dictated the pace and control of their games. We'll see if Dallas can continue to do the same.

If we beat Detroit and get to the bye at 4-2. I'll buy some of the hype. The New Orleans game and the injuries are still in the back of my mind tho. We still have more to prove.
