Roy Williams was what most sips are. All sizzle and no steak. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but his impact on the team was annoying.jr15aggie said:
I agree, I typically don't hold onto to college grudges for NFL players... but there haven't been many TU players that have been worth rooting for in a Dallas uniform.
Roy Williams was a desperate Jerry overpay and he never got close to living up to the expectations. Connor Williams was very mid and very often frustrating to watch.
Unless I'm forgetting somebody, the only TU guy I can remember in this century helping the Cowboys was Leonard Davis.

I could be wrong, but I feel like WR Roy Williams was the last of the chasing of big name flashy players and shifting to their current philosophy of homegrown players through the draft and low risk free agent signings.
He was just a man ahead of his time.Grapesoda2525 said:And he was known for that stupid first down signal after each first down.jr15aggie said:

But that was a good move. They made the playoffs and you could argue he should still be here.shack009 said:Amari CooperVince Blake said:

They should have guys with straightjackets hiding behind the merch stand for whoever spends $125 on a Scott Stapp jersey. Maybe CPS too.
I'm not so much rooting for him, more like curious as to how the Aaron Rodgers storyline develops…zgolfz85 said:
Rodgers is so freaking good. Easy to root for them after the Boys this year
He's always come across as an insufferable ****** in my opinion. Very easy to root against him.zgolfz85 said:

The 49ers are using a "never heard of him" RB very effectively.
We could do the exact same thing with Rico and Deuce... unfortunately our team looks hellbent on giving Zeke a majority of the carries.
It's probably my only negative takeaway from week 1... and there is plenty of time to make a change... but we saw the same damn thing 2 years ago when we had peak Tony Pollard and yet we still fed Zeke.

I agree with this... but I will also say Cleveland has a dang good defense and the few obvious 2nd half runs we threw at them they shut down.
But yeah, it would have been nice to just hammer them over and over again.
