Today I went to see JW: Rebirth.
The bulb in the projector went out 1 hour in to it.
45 minutes later, it started again.

Saw Jurassic World Rebirth. I learned that apparently cars still work, boats still work, geothermal power plants and their grids still work, and (most critically for the plot) a Glock pistol can still fire after 30+ years of being exposed to an equatorial, tropical environment.

Three days into 2026 and Jurassic World: Rebirth remains in the top five domestically (below). That said, we agreed we wouldn't stop counting at the end of December, and would instead tally total domestic grosses for each of the respective contenders, meaning we technically have another month+ or so to go before all numbers are final. But yes, either way it's obvious now that the movie will likely end up at #7, with Zootopia, Wicked, and Avatar surpassing it.
What's funny is that the argument was really over whether it would "tank" or not. 20ag07 said it would, I said it wouldn't, and at #7 it definitively did not. My screw up was making the arbitrary "top five" claim as a delineation for the bet. But then 20ag07 basically starting bringing up the bet in thread after thread, even pushing a couple times this past summer for me to go ahead and pay him months in advance, to the point where the whole thing got so weird, contentious, and honestly kind of creepy that I ultimately told him there's zero chance of me communicating with him outside of this site to settle up. I have no issue going through some kind of intermediary or giving to charity, but he stopped posting here months ago, after more than just me was weirded out by his obsessiveness.

Well, a quick check tells me that 20ag07 stopped posting in early November. But then 12 days later a new poster registered with Texags and (just coincidentally I'm sure) has the exact same posting tendencies, including a tendency to post on this board in an authoritative voice and absolute statements about Hollywood happenings and the box office. They were very active on the Netflix-WB purchase thread.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I haven't noticed a poster who's obsessed with Houston sports teams, Star Wars, and Wicked and seems to change his handle every 3-4 months.
