I feel like Uma has a strong enough personality to not put up with any **** from QT or Harvey. If they ever did try anything, I feel like she put an end to it and that was that. She wouldn't have stuck around for 10+ years otherwise.

IMO.

So the guy who gave us some of the most original films of our lifetime has essentially run out of ideas?

Two of his last three films have been revisionist history revenge films. Add the Kill Bills and four of the last six films have been about fantasy revenge.

This is played out at this point

Kill Bill and Inglourious Basterds are the same movie because they both have a revenge aspect? Give me a ****ing break.

You mean you don't think that drive and cars were the same movie because they both had a driving element

do you think Manson's running scene would be real or in a hallucination?

Yep. He already owned staying mute on the subject and stated he wished he hadn't. Sometimes loyalty and a feeling of obligation/psychological need for reciprocity obscure judgment.
Along with drugs and a very very loose to nonexistent moral compass. I'd bet it's more likely that he is only apologizing because he has to...what else is he supposed to say? He probably doesn't really see the big deal with all of the casting couch sh** i bet.

And I'm a QT fan. He's a mad genius, but a creepy, shady, amoral dude.

Cue TCTTS to come along and tell me what a righteous and noble dude QT is....jk.

This seems like a bit of a stretch. I agree that he has a creepy element to him, but I think taking that next step to 'AMORAL' is unfair, at this point. How do you know he has 'no moral compass'?

Looks like Sony won the QT sweepstakes. $100M budget.

This is definitely sounding better. And can you imagine Pitt, Cruise, and DiCaprio all in the same film? With Margot Robbie? Starting to get pretty excited for this one...

Regarding Tarantino, Weinstein, and the casting couch, does anyone else remember the SNL skit where he used the word "jam" as a synonym for "screw" and talked about all these actresses he'd been with?

Imagine the soundtrack. It's 1969, AND a Tarantino movie.

As someone who enjoys about half of what tarantino puts out, this is looking better than I originally expected.

You didn't ask me, but while I absolutely adore both halves, it's hard not to like the first half's greater action. I love the scene at the end where she meets up with Bill, and the dialogue, but the first half of the movie is a lot more fun.

And not the middle-of-the-road type songs from Forrest Gump. Doubt he gets clearance from The Beatles though for Helter Skelter.

Didn't Michael Jackson buy all the rights to the Beatles catalog?

Edit: and Sony bought it from the Jackson estate. Then McCartney sued, and they ended up reaching a settlement this year:

IIRC they are co-owned by the Jackson estate and Sony.

ETA:

Sony owns 100% now.

Updated my post above - owned by Sony, with some sort of settlement reached with McCartney.

Should be solid, but early/mid 70's would be amazing. That's when music got really good. Prob not a popular opinion, but regardless, this film is really starting to get my attention. A lot of potential with this one.

I'd much rather see him go very modern, make it about mass shootings in america and how some are orchestrated by public interest groups. would love a conspiracy movie from him
