I don't think there's anything that bold about thinking this movie will be the blockbuster of the year. It's the only movie that can truly connect boomers with early era millenials.

Once they announced the crew behind it, the anticipation was built in.

I do agree that it's the one summer blockbuster that likely all demographics will show up for, and will do so in droves. F9 and WW84 are going to be MASSIVE, though. But yeah, if TG:M has the rewatchability factor, and is as good as we hope, it definitely has the highest ceiling of the bunch.

That would be cool to have a general expectation from them

From my perspective the last time my entire family was excited about a single movie was Indiana Jones and the crystal skull And we all walked out pretty disappointed..

Let's hope Mav pulls them in! And I think they will.. because..

I noticed the marketing campaign has been stellar.. from trailer 1 at ComicCon, to trailer 2 before Star Wars 9, to what you say.. trailer 3 during the Super Bowl (hopefully right after the Star Spangled Banner!!), everybody should be hype

Maybe also ask your guy if this is when they let loose Kenny Loggins - can't wait to see what they have in store there!

Aerospace engineer here.

This movie could have the worst plot, writing, and acting of any movie ever made, and I would still line up to see it in IMAX several times just for those beautiful aircraft.

I know that the final trailer is scheduled to release with Black Panther the week of May 1st, so my guess would be tickets go on sale around then.
