I actually like Teller...I just don't think he'd be a good fit for that role. I've been wrong before though *cough* Heath ledger *cough*.
I've liked Glen for a while, he deserves a big role

Assuming the movie takes place in 2018.. that is 32 year difference.. that mean .. Goose's son is at least 36 years of age.
Now, assuming he commission at 22 years of age.. at this point he served for 14 years.. so he is an O4 - .. Lt Commander looking at his Commander board.
Does this sound right?

He's a great choice. Perfect level of cockiness for a fighter pilot.

Thanks man. Actuaries sound promising. Just figured they would go with some one at least half way well known. I now recognize the guy that played Beast, but don't know what divergent or war dogs is.
Miles Teller was also in Whiplash which I highly recommend. Fantastic movie. Not sure I love him for this part but I'll still give it a shot.
Teller was also in the last Fantastic Four movie......but don't watch that. He was also in the Footloose remake......but don't watch that either.
Wasn't he even also the ******** guy in Divergent.
Glenn's younger sister is an Aggie as well.
I think Powell would have been a good edition if they wanted the same personality as Goose. But if they want a kid that's angry at the world 'cause his dad died so young, Teller is probably better.

Kosinski is basically bringing over his entire Only the Brave ensemble at this point, between Teller and Connelley now, only I'm much more in favor of this addition. Also, I'm pretty sure she's playing Penny Benjamin, Maverick's age-appropriate love interest (mentioned briefly in the beginning of the first movie)...
